  1. Depends on your engine, with a motronic it's a straight swap (depending on whether you want to upgrade the rubber boot or just make it fit) but with L-Jet there's fiddling to do with the hoses. Just get the bigger t/b first then see if it's going to be a straight swap or if you need to do some fiddling.

    Do you smoke? (tobacco)

Hahaha, I note the "Tobacco" snuck in there, what else would people be smoking Agreed, smoking females get the pass over, made life in europe hell as nearly all of them smoke over there

    Rear Sway

320i's don't have them as stock, putting one in makes the rear end sit down a little more in the corners and makes it feel better.
  5. Mate, could just be your wheel offset is too big
  6. I'll give you my girlfriend for an hour and a packet of crisps for them?

    Hartge H23

I've got the Hartge skirts that would go on this car, that would definately spruce it up, but what you're forgetting is that it's not really the appearance of this car that's tits it's the 2.7 with the Hartge headers and cam!!!

    Idle Surge

Have you checked that you haven't blown the intake apart again???
  9. FYI: The automatic "in-gear" ignition inhibitor that the Haynes says to short circuit seems to do more than just inhibit the ignition...when my inhibitor circuit is closed my engines idles slightly lower than when the circuit is open...anyone knowledged up on this phenomenom?
  10. I've found my swingometer to be quite accurate, or at the least, a damn good indication of what you're doing. You really need to ditch the auto box and stick in a low ratio diff if you're concerned about fuel economy. I had a 3.25 ratio diff a while back and that was getting me 44mpg, getting around 36 from the 3.64.
  11. Not sure if this has been posted before but this is one of the bigger funny auctions i've seen Trademe auction
  12. Make sure you do under 10 mins around the ring in it OT: How about zat crazy german girl in ze van!!
  13. I find the stock chip in mine with the t/b changed is running alot better than before without, definately getting better milage out of the fuel swingometer, better all round
  14. Stop talking bullshit, more power does not always equal less economy

    316i help please!

Does it always do it or only when cold?

    1.6L to 2.5L

The diffs do matter, the 316 will still have a high ratio diff even for the manual, will be a 4.11 most likely which is almost acceptable with the 325, get Gus's 3.73 if you do it.

    1.6L to 2.5L

All the 325 parts will go onto your 316 no probs, that's the beauty of the E30 and BMW engineering, as for the cert that's just a formality I believe but an additional cost at any rate.

    1.6L to 2.5L

There's several things that you need to consider if you're going to dump the 2.5 engine into your 316. As pointed out above, the gearboxes will NOT mate up, only a 325 g/box will work with the 325 engine so you'll need a 325 g/box and driveshaft. You will have to change over the wiring loom and ECU etc. You will have to change the rear differential unless you want to have nice close gearing with no economy. You will probably need to upgrade your rear brakes as they will be drums no doubt. You'll probably have to upgrade your suspension if you haven't already. You'll need certification.

    Car build - Evo 3

E30 accelerator pedals are held down by clips, I used a screwdriver to pry mine off, the pre f/l and f/l have different male to female clip orientations but the principal is the same
  20. Depends on why you've dropped a piston, is there no compression, is it firing?
