Hi, welcome to the club I'm not to sure on what owning a 635 entails but the 635csi can be a really nice car to own and they scrub up really nice aswell as being a really good car to drive, especially given their age. As far as what to look out for i'd suggest looking through the maintenance threads. Be sure to search back in history otherwise you'll only see the last 90 days worth, use the search function up the very top. Cheers

There's alot of us on here that are using the K&N flate panel filter in the standard air box. K&N work and are easy to clean and re-oil. It's says to do it every 50k miles but I do it on every oil change.

Yes, given that we export 10 million litres of pure ethanol a year, why don't we put just a couple more % of it into our gas...it's bloody good stuff and makes for interesting syphoning sessions - which brings to mind that we've got to be wary about fuel poachers these days, I like the story in the dom the other day about the farmer that spiked his own fuel so that would be thieves wouldn't get very far, the Police comment was "we advise against people taking the law into there own hands" which was stupid considering they were caught red handed.

I've just done my own service 4.25L Magnetec, repco filter, STP engine flush @ $55 6x NGK plugs @ $46 Cleaned and re-oiled K&N filter, $0 Am yet to do the fuel filter but will do soon (how fuch are the fuel filters) Have recently replaced g/box and diff oils with red line mtl synthetic @ $30 Resetting service lights - priceless All up it's no where near the $400 that Shelley's charge for a service 1.
