It's due 8am Monday...and the F:SAE car is meant to be running by Tuesday. No time off for me yet!

Hmmm, I should know if I can by 2nd Sept. Really depends on F:SAE I'll read the regs when I have time. Am currently pulling an overnighter writing a MATLAB program Lol, this really isn't a for sale thread...They are a staggered set, so 16x7 in front and 16x8 in the rear. They're my main street/autocross wheels. You will need adaptors to use them. All depends on how much you want to pay. They're forged and lighter than TE37's of the same size. Rare as hens teeth too.

What camera are you using? Fairly impressive video Btw, that's a very brave camera man on the outside of the corner.

I think I'm not man enough. Probably have to go for a much skinnier tyre for less rubbage. Oooh, details? F:SAE is somewhat intense right now, but if possible I'll definitely come Bigger hammer. Front fits, rear tread is about 4mm out of the guard though
  7. My car isn't fast, and neither am I. But it has a cage and no interior. Is a "race car" still a race car if it's a garage queen?
  8. I think the thing about fun FWD's is that you're still controlling the amount of pointing and shooting. I think the point of a 4WD means the input is always a doctored maximum - your attempts at controlling the point or shoot is not really that important. It sorts itself out. I would still take an NA8 MX5 over a fun FWD I think..preferably one with a MSNZ rollhoop Unlike the S2000 (and maybe other more modern convertibles), the windshield alone can't support the entire weight of the car should anything go wrong.

    Dual Sim Phone?

My uncle works in quality control in Chinese electronics. When I caught up with him circa 2007, he boiled an egg by placing it inbetween two Chinese/novelly branded mobiles calling each other. Took about 45min. I still haven't been able to get over that - developed a fear of certain chinese goods. I hope they've cleaned up their act.

    17x8 15p front, 17x9 15p rear. 255/40R17. 16x8's are so last month. edit: Haha, I now have 14x6, 15x7, 16x8, 17x9. I <3 my rice.

I must admit, I'd be terrified of the camera punching me in the head with that setup. If that's the same Velbon I had, they don't like being mistreated/subjected to largish forces Mine cracked at the screw after some urban work I did (arc shots with camera attached, etc), I was lucky my camera didn't come off the tripod! Either way, it did work surprisingly well.
  12. Bad ass, I'm stuck studying. Still not quite a fan of the eyelids though. Doesn't the Volvo lip block the oil cooler? (The reason I was swapping to FL front before tech1)
  13. Our 328i E46 does this too. I think it's the default setting?
  14. Those wheels would be ideal for pimping on a flared E30 or an E30M3. I wonder how strong they are? I'll race you. P.S. Desecrated euro wheels in flouro > flouro JDM
  15. Car Colours. Arrenway Dr in Albany iirc. They provided the Offensive Green that I smothered my cage in. Really helpful and good advice.
  16. I have a Lachsilber two piece TechII rear wing. Needs a coupla bolt inserts. I would like a TechI in exchange for it. Thought I'd try for a TechI before I start painting it.

    Rebuilt G260

So facelift can use either PFL or FL 'boxes and PFL can only use PFL 'boxes right?

    Rebuilt G260

How do I tell the differences between PFL and FL 'gbox? I'd like to confirm what 'box I actually have. All I know is that it fits my '86 m20b25.

    Rebuilt G260

I have no idea how it shifts. Haven't used it since rebuild Well, invoice says: $443.99 for Parts $585 for Labour $128.63 GST The invoice excludes the purchase price of the 'box. And prices are with BMWCC discount...invoices make me sad. I don't even know why I keep them.

    Rebuilt G260

I have an unused getrag 260 from a FL E30. It has had a hole put in for the flywheel sensor to suit PFL. I have a receipt for $1100 from Bavarian Motors. New Price: $850. Not negotiable.

    Certification

Low Volume Cert is a lot of money $400-$520. And the whole car gets a going over, so even if you're only going for certing suspension, you might fail on something else.
  22. Click on my sig. I hope you have a kit, because wheels bigger than 16" look a bit silly otherwise. imho of course. Mike's basically got everything spot on. edit: These are pretty cool. Need to be wider imho, but meh.
  23. Depends whether you want performance or look bias. I run a 16x7 13p front, 16x8 18p rear on a PFL. These should clear with less camber as well. If I were going for a look bias, I'd run 16x8 11p fronts and 16x9 16p rears.
  24. Yeah, it was sent to Gavin IIRC. Overall gains were very impressive. Ended up at 130whp or similar. I was tempted to purchase them after viewing the results! But the E36 rack won't fit around them
