10L/100km's combined cycle (indicated) ==> About 40% city, 10% rush hour, 45% highway, 5% twisties (long way home). Managed 8.6L/100km from Auckland to Taupo, driving fairly enthusiastically. 6.9L/100km with cruise control on the way back edit: Should mention, it is a 328i Sedan with 5 speed auto. Climate control is never off

When's the next one? I can't make this one Also, do convertibles need roll protection?
-
I'd rock 'em in matte black with a dayglow pink lip or pinstripe. But definitely not for that price. (also they probably won't fit my brakes)

Wooo! My car has a twin! Sans the steelies. Any link to build thread perhaps?

Big power 4 cyl's in E30's are awesome. But just be aware of the classes that you'd be put in for Tarmac rally/Targa

Snap oversteer, huge understeer...doesn't sound like the bars are matched to your rubber or halfsprung? Sounds like the car has gone backwards in terms of suspension tuning Apparent slalolm ability from lack of roll is great and all, but not particularly relevant to fast road or track use :S With that big a front bar, I would've thought that there'd be a roll restricted rear (cause of snap oversteer), and poo weight transfer in front (huge understeer when quickly loaded). Tried backing off the shocks in proportion to bars? Am thinking the bars have increased the bound more than is useful for street rubber. Otherwise, if you're going for better rubber, could try stiffening the rear bar? My 2c, or maybe .00002c. I still haven't quite grasped roll tuning - which probably explains the standard bars on my E30.

What about getting them completely polished?

That's awesome. More pics needed!

Lol, was WOT for pretty much all of it, made me a bit sad when it struggled up the hill after the bridge. Didn't even need to use my fancy brakes
-
Some rather boring footage of my last hillclimb. Probably skip the first minute or so. At the end - "Crap, my handbrake was on for that run."
-
I have about that clearance or less to my TechI front on my E30 due to the silly amounts of castor I run. Haven't had any issues.
-
That's awesome Nath, it's definitely come a long way! I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the weaves look better than the Borbet rep's

Wrong, 980kg with glass, full cage and half fluids, no driver. E30 series car before ballast - coupla (legal) tricks involved.
-
Woah, you're still alive! Moar pix plz.

I would actually say cut your losses...but you've had some outstanding offers from the Bimmersport community, at least take some of them up on their offers We're all pretty useless at electrons - apart from our electrons team. We have a habit of letting the smoke out. I'm not sure I count as smart at all - I'm exceedingly useless at anything other than suspension - where I'm only mildly useless. That said, if we weren't constantly busy/not sleeping, I'm sure some of the team would lend a hand - especially if there's free food/booze involved.

Badass If it's the plain black Targa prepped M Coupe, it's got aircon and stereo still

Yeah, a daily when I need a bit of fun. Still use the E46 or Xtrail when I need to park somewhere dodgey. I bought the ROH Reflex's 'cos I''ve always liked them (secretly a bogan), but never had the right car to put them on. And I figure this is the closest I'd ever get to a BF Mazda Familia P.S. The team shirts look super choice. Cheers

New wheels to add to my forged/4kg collection: Why my E30 still isn't fixed, and also probably why the new wheels won't find themselves on the E30:

Haven't had much sleep in the past fortnight due to business. I haven't been home much also due to business. I'll try get home and update on Saturday.

I'm glad MX5's never became cool here. I already have my cheap, lightweight, perfectly balanced, and fantastically engineered RWD coupe.

Am using Win7 both 32bit and 64bit. ProE was a bit funny about Win7 64bit until ATi's driver update. 64bit runs very well, biggest difference is running complex assemblies in ProE, rendering also seems faster - but that may well be my imagination. Am very impressed. Best way to describe 7 is it's like Leopard on Mac but with the M$ familiarity. I quite like the windows button + tab and windows button + f. P.S. if running 64bit, get MPCHT 64 bit version. Have found it brilliant for playing 1080p movies, etc. Very very smooth.

I've always liked digital camo...like this: Pity it is now associated with Mad Mike

I'm a lowly JDM wheel whore...but is there a reason why they're so fantastic apart from their rarity? They look kinda plain
