  1. Yup got a full bling 98 mini ill send it tonight
  2. Can anyone loan/swap me a lupo cupcar and a historic race car. I have yet too see one for sale, last two races to go!
  3. Engine has two earths on it (M20 one was on LH side, M50 on RH so I used both) and the car was only on for maybe 10 minutes max, and has had the battery unplugged all the time its been "resting" Was going to use the stock plug (blanked on my radiator), problem is theyre mounted on the cold side of the radiator. Was trying to find a nice genuine retrofit aircon fitting that sits in the upper hose and has two temp switches, never found one though despite lots of wrecker hunting. Decided to stop naffing around and just do it
  4. Unfortunatly it went out with the rubbish yesterday morning Car is all done, just waiting on the new radiator now.... Got a davis craig thermoswitch to control the fan. Easy as to wire up as the switch is rated at 20A, so no need for relays etc. The sensor sits inside the upper radiator hose and runs under the clamp so no need for extra temp switch fittings etc. Piss easy.
  5. Supercheap, stuff is made by an aussie company.
  6. Dont wanna go there, ignorance is bliss at the moment. Crossing fingers
  7. https://www.silverdaleradiators.co.nz/ $6 bottle of cleaner cost $295

    gearbox kufful

Yes and no, it depends on the age of the box Shifter consoles changed in late 85 (from memory) and the mounts for them on the box are different. Some lucky gearboxes happened during the change over and got both mounts
  9. Unfortunatly its long gone. Ive emailed em, not holding much hope though. Ordered a taiwanese one from silverdale radiators.
  10. Anyone heard of radiator flush doing this before?? Ive googled it with no luck. Notice when I tipped it in (diluted according to the bottle) there was a lot of fizz vapour coming out of the radiator cap. Like Acid+Metal vapour. Wondering if I got a bottle of this stuff that was WAY too strong.

    Quick Questions

Figured it out. Step 1 - Handbrake off. Adjust the star adjuster on one wheel till it locks, back it off a few clicks. Repeat with other side, backing off the same number of clicks. Step 2 - Undo both cable adjustment nuts on the handbrake. Set the handbrake at the height you want the wheels locked. Tighten up one side of the cable until it locks the wheel. Get a pair of verniers and measure the thread extending from the cable. Undo the nut Step 3 - Do up the other side same as step 2, but dont undo nut once the wheel is locked. Install first nut and tighten up cable until you get the same length of thread extending from nut. Presto, equally adjusted handbrakes with a tight ass LSD
  12. 3 Steps forward, 2 steps backwards. Bled the brakes, adjusted handbrake, spent 2 hours bleeding clutch due to master cylinder being blocked with crap (hasnt had a bleed in yeaaaaars) ended up blowing it out with compressed air thru the slave. She moved under her own power Went to refill the cooling system after the last time, when I ran some of this http://www.tectaloy.com/page22.html through it. Turns out I didnt flush it enough, one would think that two fill ups and drain outs would be sufficient... obviously not. 4 Days later its burnt focking holes in my new OEM radiator. Totally fuct brand spankers radiator. Un-impressed.
  13. Nah I just read every M50 swap thread on the interwebs, filtered out some of the BS (theres a lot of it!), and got the the right guy to sort out the wiring adapter (cost a box of paypal'd box of beer to the UK) Seriously wiring isnt that hard if you can find the ETM for your car, problem is 90% of the information online is for US cars/engines. Without the ETM your pissing in the wind as the engines and cars change wiring colours/pins/routing massively. Polley on here was a massive help too (Chur!) If your keen to do the swap, I know a guy who has been watching/laughing at me struggling to do this! He could do it in a 1/3rd the time
  14. ^ Anyone? I havent hooked up my CEL yet, but Im 70% sure im gonna have a flashing light
  15. Call Tim at TTT on 0212671793, say Chris sent you and he'll do you a deal on a nice exhaust. He gets his materials from woolf, so its all mandrel bent etc, but does all the fabrication himself (and he's good)
  16. Sounds good too me, I already have the skirts, but my front/rear bumper are something other than tech 1 (early BBS maybe?) and are focked. Can throw you a deposit later in the week if your keen. Just got back from blowing all my money on sex/drugs/rockNroll/tipping in the states, and am off to aussie on friday till the new year, hence the delay getting em
  17. http://eu.gran-turismo.com/nz/news/d14929.html <- that one.

    My M3 E30 S14 2.5

Sweet car man, good to see it being used too!
  19. Anyone able/keen to run a diagnostic scan on this thing mid next week? All going well I can bring it around, otherwise it might require someone to come looksee.
  20. Would be keen on the kit, with the exception of the skirts if possible. But it'll have to wait till after new years. If its still available then Ill give ya holla
  21. I have these on my car, came with the 17's I got of APT, I actually really like em! They're pretty quiet, and grip really well in the dry (havent really drivin them in the wet so cant say) Most chinese tyres seem to be made of hard black plastic instead of rubber. Aparently Federal tyres has a hand in hero. In all honesty, id drive on em till they crap out and then think about replacing with name brand. I think you'll be surprised about how good they are. China is definetly getting better at making stuff properly. Chinese rubbish bashing a few years ago was justified, but theyre lifting their game with lots of stuff recently.
  22. ^ That exactly what I said when it started. Even hooking up the battery for the first time had me a tad worried! Once I had turned all the wipers/indicators/hazards/fan etc off that my a**hole mates had turned on when I wasnt watching and flicked the key all the head scratching/running around was worth it Obviously got the exhaust finished (6-2-1 headers to 2.5", coby in the middle and one of those DTM style mufflers on the tail), driveshaft back in and the wiring finished. Now needs interior, brakes, and a clutch, big coolant bleed and a serious wheel alignment its on the piss so much it feel like the handbrake is on when pushing it around. Have to wait till next week, off to seattle tommorrow.
  23. Turned the key.... Started first pop! Sounded like a 300,000km mitzy engine for about 2 minutes, was slightly worried! But once she got oil flowing again its nice and quiet. Those lifters havent seen oil pressure in a long time! Nothings leaking, no particularly weirdness noted. Stoked as! Sounds F-ing tough too, very happy with the exhaust note Got a few things to sort out engine wise, aint got no temperature gauge, and the oil level doesnt seem to be working. I dumped near 6L into it, and its below the bottom notch of the dipstick, thinking maybe the engine oil of a seriously drained engine is more than the service capacity (5.75L?) and the warning light may actually be working correctly. Meh, Easy sh*t. It works!
  24. Anyone got that super dooper car yet the GT5 ultimate car thing
