Houston we have a problem. Started, idled for about 15 seconds then died. Still cranking and we have fuel, thinking my DME may have sucked the kumara. Random as it ran fine this morning and nothing has changed...

What about that epoxy polyurethaney stuff. Cant remember the trade name but you essentially make your own bush using it. Ive never used it but a mate has and says it cool stuff.

Definite difference, hard to tell how much. Seems to pull a tad harder up top, stock felt quite linear. No obvious drop in low-mid range either and its still nice and smooth. Chirps hard grabbing 2nd, not bad for 215's and an LSD. What it IS doing now is burbling/popping much more noticeably on the overrun

^ FTW We are gonna have to have a M20B27 Vs M50B25 battle APT. Go the whiteline bars, they rule (once youve stopped hating them during installing) and we'll have the same suspension setup I really dont think polyurethane bushes have added that much harshness to the E30, its definitly firmer than stock but with the shocks wound up to 20 odd clicks its really not that uncomfortable. What diff are you running?

Looks shweet, cleaning engine bays is a bitch.

Took car for a good thrash out to helensville today, stoked as. Worth all the money, M50 Owns M20 in every way. Pulled the DME apart tonight and swapped the pro formance chip in, will see what seat of pants difference it makes tommorrow. 6000rpm haul over taking a truck gave me a boner, its not WOW faster than an M20, but pulls much harder at any rpm, and sounds sexual up top with howling intake noise and the headers at the right rpm The clutch from rds feels sweet, its noticeably harder pedal than stock but is perfectly drivable in traffic, even with the lightened B23 flywheel (which must weigh under 6kg) No shuddering etc. Being relatively gentle with it while counting the break in miles... Whens the next BMW meet at meremere? Be interested to see if its in the 14's.

Till you have a chromed 458 Italia you aint yet made it

+1 Mate has one (6 speed), it goes well, not particularly fast though (low 15 1/4's) Nice car though, nice to sit in

Anyone got any, or know of a source, of legal brake booster vacuum line? Ive searched the local suppliers but they all look at me like > Dont need much, maybe 15cm, to fit an M50 manifold (cant remember measurement ATM) Prefer new over second hand, but am not too fussy

fock do repco suck. Give them the right p/n, they give me the wrong tridon part... and charge $100 for it.. Useless as tits on a bull.

Removed the epically complicated heated window squirter/headlight washer system that leaked like a sieve and had wires/tubes/T-connectors up the wazzooo. KISS was not the motto for this system on an E30, WTF were they thinking! Two wires, 1 tube, no leaks FTW.

+1 Aircon = Cool. Heater = Hot. Car Hot + Hot outside = Open Window + Drink cold beer. Car Hot + Cold Outside = Turn Heater Off. If Heater is off, make sure it is actually off

Found one

The one for the DME, Blue Plug. If someone has one and could courier it too me be awesome.

Discovered this - Is not the right temp sender. Doh. Single pin M20 one is whats needed and if you bang it in either of the forward two holes in the head (instead of the intake heat hole) it doesnt need to be rethreaded. Working temp gauge FTW New problem though. Got angry swapping the senders out with the manifold on and managed to smash my DME temp sender plug off in my butchery. Bugger. Took the car to HellBM for a scan (Cheers!) No DME found...

I appreciate ya straightupedness bellicose, but E-bitching is stupid, the interwebs equivalent of these - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/RED-Brembo-...sQ5fAccessories Edited, decided some may be offended

Maroony E30 sedan towing a boat just before the harbour bridge, and a white E30 touring out in silverdale got the nod

The top gear ones are all tricky, took me ages. Lots and lots of failed attempts. Got to be hard on the brakes in the corners and out brake them (without nudging anyone) but smooooth on the exits so they cant catch you back up on the straights. The difficulty for them is a bit screwy, I got gold on the final top gear challenge first time (with the kamekaze VW scwimmwagons (sp)) The elise one is much harder due to the sh*t tyres...

What flavour 320? (E30/36/46 etc)

Silverdales taiwanese radiators seem pretty good. Out of the packaging its hard to tell it an and OEM radiator apart for around the $300 mark. http://www.silverdaleradiators.co.nz/cooli...;category_id=21 Radiator hoses here - http://www.schmiedmann.com/3_series/E30/Sp.../page1.htm#1424

^ Different. Forza has better crashes, and an E30, the rewind thing is kinda cool too. Everything else about it, GT5 is much betterer. Forzas physics feel much more wooden than GT5's. Indecorous - I just started playing with B spec. The trick that seems to be working for me is too get a angry driver and then keep him calm by repeating reduce pace messages when practical. Cars that handle well with rubbish tyres is key too, or the ass clown AI driver just does O's all over the track

Think I may have a small fuel leak, too small patches of spray showing up on the fuel rail cover. Cant see anything obvious but it looks like #5 and is too small to pinpoint ATM.. Wonder if Ive pinched/twisted an Oring or is it possible to crack an M50 fuel rail? (having nightmare flashbacks to my 944 fuel rail headaches...) EDIT - Must have been a dry O ring as its fixed itself.

Roughly? Oh..... Huntly...

After driving it home from the airport tonight decided I need me a 3rd muffler. It makes shweeeet music, but its too damn loud, gonna get me pulled over by the boys in blue.
