trans sorted now, drives nice. broken shifter rod inside the valve body , old one was a bit sticky , had a sapre laying around from a 750i trans I had pulled apart a while back next off to be revinned , after some tyres and fixing other lights things etc

you will need custom engine mounts made , gearbox not sure maybe a std e30 325i crossmember might do , google will tell you

you need a getrag 260 from a m30 engine like a 528i 735i 530i 535i upto etc . theres one on TM now

what lip are you talking about half the bumper cover?? std bumper is one bit , but the bottom half gets broken off all the time. have std bumpers if needed , also mtec set 021433600 [email protected] papakura

how much will you pay?? I have a nice tidy nz new 92 525i here ,with trans issues and reg lapsed , was going to fix , but would consider parting it out if the price was right , appartly had a new head fitted a few years back by bmw dealer etc

yes zf shifter rods are different lengths, will need to be from a e36 with a zf gearbox model like 3L M3 or 328i , and some very rare early 325i also used zf boxes . like one I have in stock etc I have had them cut and welded before , I us mac weld to do the job , or just order new ones in about $150-200 etc drivehshafts can be made also for about $300-500

correct bmw don't do fwd , will be buggered ball joint or bush etc , stuffed strut top mount etc etc.

will bolt up , will sit on a different angle though , bottom small 3 bolts holes don't line up. clutches , flywheels , etc will interchange , just make sure your starter matches the flywheel , and the clutch is stong enough for the engine etc 260 is longer than a 240 etc , so driveshaft will need to be different to suit etc

yes most common part to wear out first , thrust arm bush , takes all the load from braking etc. then go over the others , brakes , control arms , steering arms , track rod etc etc correct wheel hub size etc etc

no m50b25 use bosch ecu m52b28 use seimeins ecu so plugs are different , afm plugs are different etc etc

a bit of a update to long project etc . just fitted some headers to the e28 , they are modified e34 M5 headers ,have been off and on a few times to get the correct shape etc to fit around the steering box etc.... not a lot of space in a e28 , subframe has to be lowered , engine lifted etc to get them in there and there are about 3-4 nuts that are really hard to get to , having to use small spanners etc , modified spanners. also a complete new exhaust system made. larger pipe than the previous sports system that was designed for a m30 engine not a M88 engine . sounds a bit different now looking forward to the next track day at puke in a week etc..

manual e36 318ti , run them on 95 , , or e36 316i or 318i manual , all the auto's suck ,make the car heavy and use lots more fuel. e46 is heavier so probably will use more

no springs or shocks , but can order in. some trim , suspension bushes , arms , lights , electrics , odd bits and bobs etc

black leather is not from this car , but will be up for grabs in the near future , the car is stored at my mates place at the moment in drury , so will have to arrange something , call to sort a time etc 021433600
