i have 90 535ia with 3.64 diff gets about 15-16L per 100km (YUK) . my 1988 535i manual with 3.25diff gets about 12-13L per 100km when going good both around town . on a trip about 10-11 L . my wifes 1986 e28 535ia with 3.07 diff gets around 13-14L per 100km town . my M535i does 11-12L town and 9-10 on a trip . BUY the manual SAVE THE PLANET . why buy a auto . costs more to buy originally . costs ore to run . costs more to service . costs heaps more to fix, and only last about 200,000km done 470,000 on my manual gearbox . and auto's takes away the driving dynamics . DAMM THOSE silly NEW BMW buyers listening to the carsales man BULLSHIT "why buy a manual , auto's are much better they change gear for you" they should have insisted on getting the 5spd manual.

no . home now .not to bad a drive down , except for the $#&)(*(*^&*&)(&$% speeding ticket at 121Km lucking he didn't see me earlier 150+ going along hauraki planes . did a trip to rotorua the other week to my brothers . averaged 9.2L per 100km there and back , not bad for a 3.5L 218HP car weight 1350kg approx +wife and kids ,lugage etc . I like the way this car just pulls really well up hills or anywhere . sparkle , my diff must have been changed at some stage it has a 3.07lsd tag but the revs vs speed work out to be a 3.25lsd internals . a bit better pick up than my freinds M535i with 3.07 . i have a 3.45(open) if you need

1987 735iL .(long wheel base model extra back seat room) the engine runs on 5 cylinders . has low compression in number 3.(possibly sticky or cracked valve).ok when above about 2000rpm . 4spd auto with sports /manual /ecno mode . good tread on tyres . little bit of wear in leather ( as you would except ) has broken rear quarter window , (i do have one for it just needs fitting) has leather seats in light grey , 15" std alloys. trip computer . has about 3 primer patches to cover some stone chips etc on front . reg had lapsed but has been though revinning process and has WOF till november , just needs new plates and reg brought approx $250 for 6mths and signed into your name. still drives ok . please come and view if you are interested . ph 021433600 or 2997389 My Webpage
