your left seat most likly has fault with jammed up motors . same wires supply power to all motors .

no , both have 155kw 211hp 9:1 cr.the usa version of the e28 535i and e23 735i had only 186hp 8:1 cr . but nz version had 160kw 218hp 10:1 cr . older is faster . i have a couple of 735i for sale 87 and 88 both needing engine repairs (have the parts). and will have a e34 535i soon .

my wifes e28 535ia nz new fsh , done 180000km now , leather on the gear knob and steering wheel looks to be in better condition than in your photos . but my jap import 535ia with 140000km has a bit more wear than my wifes car . maybe they dont clock many miles but spend a lot of time sitting trafic playing with the gear knob and steering wheel in one spot with big gold rings on etc .

i have the parts . come and see me again . do you still want those seats and door trims etc .

some pics of the weekends effort . pulled the bent panels off the car . and took the good panels off the donar car . just fitted up to see if all square etc . will come back off for painting . sorting out other stuff like light switches , bulbs , radio wiring etc . fitting un broken glove box etc .

one is for the light in the lumber surport switch . one for seat belt switch . will have to look in my e34 manual to see what others are for . call me if you want 021433600

its a 323i the last owner swapped his mint boot with a mate's 320i

if they are memory seats i have a wiring loom for them.the only way to conect easy . if they are not memory seats then its easy just need 12volts going all the time to the fat brown wire is earth , red/yellow wire is positive . 021433600 or 2997389

its a nz new 85 323iA quite tidy only had about 3 owners . done 370000km , mostly up and down the country . silver , cloth interior . std 14" alloys , wof and reg just run out . shouldn't need anything else done to it except fix the engine . has 2 broken rockers and a worn camshaft. i do have a spare 2L engine availible if needed. could just swap head or swap the whole engine over . call me 021433600 or 2997389 looking for quick sale. if no one buys it i will have to strip it ,(save it from this ,its to good)
