  7. Hi all, I have recently installed front fog lights on the e30.. I have done a bit of research here and on some other forums about how to wire them in .. I've found out that the wiring loom is all there, all I need is a double switch in the cabin, a relay and fuse for under the hood.. and I should be sweet.. I noted from an earlier topic that the front fog relay is called K8 and it is usually black, and the fuse positions are no. 29 and 30. Firstly I'll need someone to correct me if the above is wrong.. and point me in the right direction.. I would also like to know what size fuse it is. Finally I will need the front fog relay and double switch so if anyone has these I'd be keen to buy. Thanks for the help Alan

  15. Just look at the roads!!! No need for that mate. I was referring to it in my grandfathers day. Alan
  16. I agree with most of you on this as well .. It's not a big worry for me if the k's are a bit high as long as the car has been well maintained.. My father and grandfather seemed to have the opposite view.. I had an interesting chat with my grandfather about this and the comparison between the cars here and in our home country, Iraq. Back home we had plenty of cars but there were times when they bagan to import less and less cars.. The mileage was never an issue - cars used to go on for half a millions k's.. The only questions they'd be asking upon buying a car was which garage had done the head gasket, or other major repairs etc.. They knew what particular garages produced the best quality of work and in the end the garage that the car was maintained at affected the value of the car.. But their arguement was, if you live in a country where lower km cars are available, why not go for one? Alan

  18. Have you checked out the electric fan at the very front? I had similar problems on my M20.. And this was at fault among other things.. From what I can remember the electric fan should have 2 speeds, Slow speed : when you turn the A/C on.. High speed: When your coolant gets to a certain temperature it should kick in.. When you're at idle for 5-10 minutes, the high speed setting should kick in and you can hear it it's kind of loud.. Or even look through your kidney grill and see if it's moving at all.. If it's not kicking in check the fan switch on the side of the radiator, I had mine replaced, or check the fan itself/wiring to it etc.. This might help.. I know how you feel man I ended up reconditioning my entire cooling system! Alan
  19. Yeah why not, There's even plenty of different area's/field's within aircraft engineering...
