Engine's in, running well. Need wheels. Anything?
-
Cheers Qube, not back quite yet, but I'm working on that. After my engine rebuild, probably less than I'd want. PM'd you via Facebook man.

Out of touch with the game for a while. Is there anything going in NZ at the mo in 4x100, 16x9 ET10(ish) Open to anything close to these specs. No fakes please. Cheers,

I don't remember discussing it with Ray tbh, just drive in drive out. I can make a calculated assumption that it is the Getrag box (the cheaper of the two).

This is the worst of it: They're gone sorry. CAI is sold pending payment. I've had a few enquiries on adjustables and they're stuck in the car as I don't have stock suspension to swap out. If you can bring stock suspension around, we could have the adjustables out in a couple hours and would let go for $500 with stock suspension to swap in - not fussed on specs/condition of stock suspension as long as it bolts up.

I was just having a beer at the Fiddler the other day thinking of Brian. What a sad sight this is.
-
Yeah, I don't know if he got those seats in or not? Haha, heard that story about the 2.5 purchase a few times too! A friend of mine did the sound install and I'd been over many a time to tinker with it (Brian swore there was something sounding different every few months).. We'd just end up sitting in the car in the shed drinking beers listening to music, then heading back to the lounge to listen to more music. It is a mint example, he hardly gave it any grief. Everything done professionally.

I first saw the Hell Freezes over DVD when I was 19, and didn't see it again until sitting in Brians lounge one day. I already loved the Eagles, but there was something about sitting there with the music playing so loud you couldn't even shout at each other, drinking beers and inhaling secondhand smoke that just really set it in my head that the Eagles were one of the greatest groups ever and still to this day, I've always got an Eagles song in the playlist somewhere.

I only just heard about this now, very sad I didn't know earlier. Brian was definitely one of my favourite characters off the site, and one thing I loved most about him, is when I'd visit we didn't sit and chat about BMWs (although that's how we'd first met). We would crack open a couple beers, put on one of his MANY live rock DVDs (he had one of the best collections I'd ever seen, and great taste in music) and just sit and chill out for a while. A couple Christmases back, he gave me a batch of some of the best cookies I've eaten, and a cactus, yes a f**king cactus. I loved his rants on about the Bimmersport scene also, and his consistency with meets. If he said he was going to do something, or be somewhere, you could count on it. A true man of his word. Brian and I though years apart, were on the same level and I'm absolutely gutted he's passed and I wasn't in touch enough to hear about it. Rest in Peace mate, you were someone I looked up to.
