I had a strange noise in my E36 M44 When driving it would squeal and the idle was erratic and when turning off engine it sounded like the car gave a deep sigh as though it was happy to be turned off Paid some one to repair. By the way I had a reputle BMW enthusiast check the car with the proper diagnostic gear and was told the ozy sensor was the problem for the rough idle. Didn't fix it so sent the car to Graig Gilbert Motors and within 2 seconds the mechanic said the problem was the PCV valve. They ordered a new one and fitted in about an hour or so, dont really know coz I work night shift (the job sheet said 1.2 hours) and they gave me a courtesy car (fugin ugly Toymotor) Yes I still go to the same place for all my repairs. There is no substute for a genuine mechanic with experience.

A woman is at home when she hears someone knock at the door. She goes to the door and opens the door to see a man standing there. He asks the lady 'Do you have a vagina'. She slams the door in disgust. The next morning she hears a knock at the door and it is the same man and he asks the same question of the woman 'Do you have a vagina'. She slams the door again. Later that night when her husband gets home she tells him what has happened for the last two days. The husband tells the wife in a loving and concerned voice 'Honey I am taking tomorrow off to be home just in case this guy shows up again'. The next morning they hear a knock at the door and both run for the door. The husband says to the wife in a whispered voice 'Honey, I'm going to hide behind the door and listen and if it is the same guy I want you to answer yes to the question because I want to see where he is going with it'. She nods yes to her husband and opens the door. Sure enough the same fellow is standing there and asks the same question. Do you have vagina'....... 'Yes' she says...... The man replies.. 'Good! Would you mind telling your husband to leave my wife's alone and start using yours ?

Is quite cool but Tried this on my E36 and it works. First the door locked a second later the window went up then a second later the sunroof closed. Yaayyyy something else I can skite about. I love giving me Mates with their Falcons shite about what me Bimmer can do and I find more things all the time (wears a very smug grin when talkin shite over a few beers)

So you not seen the video on you tube on how to roll guards with a softball bat Nah dont do that, go back to the shop and get it fixed proper. Will play havoc with you handling/wheel alignment setup

If I had the cash I would be in and wouldn't care about what is wrong with it. Anything can be fixed, excellent project.

Guess the Government will be getting one for the "Boy-Racer" cars

Wanted a new center cap for standard 5 star wheel. Dont know how else to describe it. Seems there is a cap there but the "BMW" piece has fallen off

I use some cheap Philips clip over the ear things at work. They cancel most of the outside noise (machines humming away) and are quite comfortable. $20 from d*ck Smiths.

If its IAG i would be careful. They are one of the companies in the States that were bailed out by the US Govt and they gave most of the cash for bonus's to the Board Members. I will agree that MOST of the Member of the Board gave the cash back it just gets me that they would even consider giving the bail out money as bonus's. AND they are the owners of State insurance (bet you thought the NZ Govt own them) so they might be on the same rate, policy wise.
