Forget the BFH-took a gas axe to it-carefully--& it worked lolThe centre of the thread was stripped so wasnt ever going to get it off. New thread welded on.BINGO> thanks for tips guys

If you really want to stick the knife in (& I would),complain to Ford NZ. You could also barrage email Tower Fords owners. I would also make a complaint with trademe.I had a deal go sour a while back & I was impressed how responsive TM were in banning the guy.

Check your starter motor /alternator connections/earth straps.You sure the battery has FULL charge?

Anyone got a how-to,to remove an apparently stripped lock nut from the top of an e30 front strut. Turns ok (with shaft vise-gripped) but wont unwind.

Had a similar sounding problem with an e30 convo-simply wouldnt bleed up. Dont know how or why but we had bent the(brand new) master cylinder piston-could be worth a look.
