The tech guru's are going to tell you to get it scanned to ID the prob before you start panicking. Did your shop reset the adaptions when it was serviced-this can sometimes help if it is the jerk. The jatco jerk thread here will answer your questions. FYI-put your location in your profile then we can direct you to the appropriate people to help you.

I've recond stacks of leather seats but mate those fronts are way beyond help lol. TBH I think the cost of recovering would be prohibitive. Better to pick up a nice set of sports.

Likewise-this is what I've been looking at. What is your thinking behind using the older motors? My thoughts had been that the chances of getting a reasonably low k gen 3 motor would be pretty good, & being the manny the jew that I am, would avoid having to do a rebuild.

Interesting-thats definitely not mentioned anywhere on mine. I've had it for 3yrs so maybe the chinese have had hassles lol. Only other similar prob i know of,now you mention it,was also an e38 dude on Bfest

I know a lot of people have these & are quite happy with them. But tbh I have one but dont use it after it nuked the obc in my brothers 740. We had used it before with no probs & on this occasion did nothing differently-it just went nuts -$1100 nuts !!!! Personally I'd just be getting a peake (or similar) reset tool or code reader.

The headers make a noticeable difference but for you i reckon, that given they are about $495 & a motor about the same, you'd be better working towards an engine swap. Gonna make a hell of lot more difference than the headers on their own.particularly since you have a manual
