Whatever the case, its crazy if you ask me. And personally I think the Kiwiplates new fern/nz star design looks ugly compared to the old ones from plates.co.nz
-
Same price as euro style
-
Seems you are right. $369 for govt issue to euro or $569 to BMW/branded plates. I was checking an already personalised plate combination in standard style upgrade to euro plate which is $199 or to BMW/branded is $399.
-
you can "upgrade" your govt issue or whatever plates to the "euro plate" style for $199 on kiwiplates.nz and then get it manufactured which is $51.82.

Still got the mini, I got another E46 but these wheels are going on our new family wagon E91 Photos to come once they are fitted..
-
Like I mentioned earlier, it was just under $1200 for a set of staggered 18's for the RE003 from Tony's Tyres. I think that is very fair price wise.

I know its been discussed a million times but dont see what the big deal is with german plates. It is still reflective, still clear to read and a good alternative to paying megabucks to "kiwiplates" and their monopoly over this whole thing. The police should stick to preventing crime and actual police duties instead of taking the quick revenue seeking, door to door salesman approach. Sure, pull over anyone being suspicious or with offensive plates and penalize them if it does not match what the car is supposed to have but as long as you are making the correct combination that matches your rego sticker, surely its not an issue.

Sorry no idea haven't had time to find out. Can we tell from the part no?

If you want something more reliable, the 528i is not a bad choice. Non turbo engine. Its basically the new E39 530i equivalent.

$1200 for a staggered set of 18s

Picked this up to replace the 130i.. So far just put on some new wheels
-
I have a E91 2005 that came with the older stereo and have purchased this newer one to get USB etc functions. Plugged it in and get no sound. Google shows that its not that straight forward but not 100% clear what needs to be done. Any one able to shine some light in plain english or help with the retrofit? photos of the old vs new unit
-
its pretty much impossible to pick which set up I like more..

I had some runflats on the 130i, then changed to nitto invos, then finally to re003s. what a huge step up in terms of grip, both wet and dry. the re003's inspired a lot of confidence on corners and also made the car feel lighter and more responsive in every way. easily the best i've had so far (havent tried michelin pss/ps3/ps4). Just ordered a full set from tony's with their price beat guarantee. worked out a lot cheaper than bridgestone themselves (the buy 3 get 1 free deal didnt apply at the moment for some reason).

2006 BMW 323i M Sport (moving overseas, need offers!)
qube replied to digital_frankenstein's topic in For Sale
would consider it but high kms and the few issues means it would have to be a very good price otherwise there are plenty of better options on trademe with the huge influx of new imports ex japan -
offer accepted by someone else pretty quick though
