  1. This is sitting on my driveway doing nothing so time to go.

M50b25 (non vanos) jatco 5sp auto
    275000km

    Bad points
    -needs new battery
    -drivers door lock/window is temperamental
    -front tyres are borderline
-panel damage on left side (see photos)
    -no WOF, reg on hold

    Good points

-engine runs very sweet. New o2 sensor, intake hose, spark plugs, thermostat, air filter
    -new front rotors
-control arm bushes replaced 12000km ago
-diff & engine oil changed 5000km ago
-good stereo system. 4ch pioneer amp and Boston acoustics components front and rear.
    -tinted windows
    -clear indicators
    -mtech2 steering wheel
    -euro plates
-minus the damaged panels the exterior is pretty tidy

Will sell complete for $1500 $1000

Will consider parting out too. Let me know if you want the stereo gear or engine or other parts seperately etc. If you're looking for a donor engine mine makes a lot of sense... Come drive it and see it running in mt Eden.

I've also got a set of lowering springs I haven't had a chance to fit-$60

  2. had to check it wasn't april fools.

They must have very fine parameters for when this actually operates? High intake/engine temp, wide open throttle @ high RPM and high road speed?

I'm guessing they've done everything to ensure a boatload of water isn't dumped into the cylinders just as the driver turns off the engine.

Another consideration is cost of more weight. For marginally improved performance/efficiency/flexibility it seems like a shitty tradeoff.

The livery looks amazing. Can't wait for MotoGP this year!

  3. Almost every smoker I know has quit (or attempted to) as a new years resolution.

I wonder how smoking rates have changed among the poor, if at all. You have to feel for those families who are skimping on the necessities because mum and dad are spending shitloads on durries. Just an unfortunate consequence of the policy I guess.

  4. How much crude/petrochemicals are used to make 4l of synthetic oil??

If its 10 litres then the input cost has fallen by no more than $4 with oil having halved in value.

Probably not worth passing on - in fact its impossible to do so if the company has hedged that exposure.
