I'm not usually a fan of black on black... or 3 series tourings (flame suit enabled) but yours looks awesome.

The insurance company im with valued my car for what I bought it for... so $1500. But I just got a good deal. E30 325i. Too low? I might try grtting someone to value it like Navin did.
NAC wont even insure my e34 because it is worth too little haha

The e65 in the first post is a Singapore import (first clue is the basic Heater Panel installed). My E38 was a Singapore import and I had to spend a fortune replacing everything made of plastic/rubber and also the engine wiring loom because of the heat/humidity. I can't imagine what the Singapore heat and humidity would do to a car like the E65, especially a 2001/02 model that wasn't exactly known for a stable electrical system to begin with.
The other problem you'll run into is that it is very common in Singapore to leave your car running when parked so that you can keep the AC going so the KMs shown will likely only be a fraction of the time the engine has actually spent running.
In my opinion you'd be better off getting the $6k in $1/$2 coins, put them in a pillowcase and have someone smack you in the nuts with it. It'd be way less painful in the long run.
Outstanding.
You need to post more

swapping them out is not the hard part, I just need a hand and help with the timing, however I am just curious if I should do it or if an cam upgrade to m3 cams is actually going to make my car run bad (less power) without a tune?
I would be inclined to say yes. Your standard DME's ignition/fuel map is optimized for standard cams NOT M3 ones.
Full disclosure: I work in an office. Apart from flicking through a bentley service manual once or twice I don't know sh*t.
You can muddle around with this thread for another 7 pages and get more baseless opinions like my own or you can put your hand in your wallet and take it to someone who knows what they are talking about. The real experts (the ones who do this for a living) are not going to give up the info you need for free... and why would they?

You should really take this to someone who knows what they are doing.

Rebuilders can rebuild it but the cost of rebuild is (at the moment) almost the price of a new engine (at the discount they've given us).
The (much cheaper) alternative is obviously to source a second-hand engine.
What prompted yours to fail? Seems unlucky

Yes everyone is being a bit hard. Yes everyone (especially new members) deserve a fair, genuine response to a genuine inquiry. And Yes as a community we do our image /appeal no favours by being cynical and unhelpful. But...
When you buy a brand new low performance model and complain about its... lack of performance, don't be surprised when people roll their eyes. Perhaps you should have saved yourself $10k and bought something like this instead: http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-702663246.htm As the forum heading reads, this is New Zealand's BMW enthusiast community. If you want to know if an m70b50 can be shoehorned into an e30 then you have come to the right place.Few of us have actually driven one of the new BMWs, let alone looked under the hood. So you may be in the wrong place if you are after modification advise on an engine most of the members here have never even heard of.
None of this is personal mate. It's kind of like when you start a new job. Those that can take the sh*t and dish a bit back fit in just fine. Those that get defensive tend not to last long.

Thanks for your concern guys for in terms of hookers and blows I shall post in the right forum if i never need assistance .
I tend to buy new cars as I tend to see the phrase : one man's junk , other man's treasure, doesnt be applied to me Thats why i work to earn
Your posts make as much sense to me as your choice of engine

Aside from Merc fanboys, who in their right mind would buy one of these ahead of an e36 m3

Pelican parts have new ones for about $200 from memory.
From what I have read the job is a pain in the ass - not something you want to be repeating often. So I would stick to a brand new unit.
