Bang some 7 gram rocks. i also like the swimming in cash idea.

The hardware does not come cheap and the coding can't be done by ur average pirate.

um pretty sure this is not OK.

M3 Touring HELL YES

Glenn or BMWorkshop, heaps of places have diagnostic equipment ... few know how to use it properly.
-
Plugged into a Diagnostic computer with an operator that knows what they are doing. Will save time and money in the long run because you wont end up trying to replace/fix 10 different things.
-
possibly air flow meter? But that is a random guess and there is no point in guessing!, get it scanned.

Ok here are a few points First of all an M3 is the same body shape as other E46's but is a totaly different car. M3 = different engine, gearbox, suspension, drivetrain, panels, brakes. Most things bar some of the interior will have a different part number and probably twise the price of its E46 counterpart. It is that fastest E46 you can get (CSL eddition) The 330 is that most powerful E46 you can get without getting an M3. You can get a 330 with motorsport pack which gives it all the sports bits but does not make it a M3. Do not look at badges many people put M/// and M3/// badges on cars this does not make them M3's even if they have had some bits transplanted. An M3 E46 would be pricey (depending on you deffinition of pricey) roughly starting at 40k.

Hi, Wanting to code my LCM to have my angel rings as DRL's, i asume this WON'T make my interior illumination come on during day? Anyone in AKL got at setup with a OBDII plug and Navcoder so that i dont have to to any wire cutting just to recode the LCM? i would just get an interface and do it myself but again seems excessive just for LCM.. Happy to supply a box of something in exchange. Thanks,

Legally they have every right to altho they usually don't unless your 10+ over

cant have been laser if the car was moving then. yes a detector will detect laser but if it has alerted you then it is already too late they have a reading. hense jammers.
-
Highly likely he pinged you with a laser gun, in which case there is no point in detection you either Jam the gun (with jammers) or they get a reading almost instantly. and as for it going off lots being a good thing .... alot of the cheap ones do not have the ability to disable certain bands (eg. X band) which are not used by police here but are used by pretty much everything else. in which case if you drive through a built up area it will be going off non stop and will only be of use on the open road. Although arguably you cannot/should not be going fast enough in built up areas to need it. Also would like to point out that i don't own an expensive system because i am a speed daemon i simply have it because i got it at a ridiculously cheap price and thought well why not. anyway more to the topic .... imo buying one of these is not worth it you would be better off spending abit more on a more "quality product"
-
Exactly! total waste of time IMO, i've owned several detectors inc a cheapy. the cheapy ($150) which was the first one i bought years ago i actually threw away not long after buying it. was totally useless. yes it did pickup Ka (police) but it was constantly beeping at everything else too so there was no point. I can recomend the Escort 8500 x50, V1 and my current Escort 9500ci detector/jammer setup. (all of which i own/owned)

Ok so with the vf SIMs they were TAC locking them to the iPad 1 IMEI's, as of 01/2011 this was halted so if you got the sim post Jan you should be good to go. Pretty crap communication from vf in regards to the details.
-
all carriers will work 2D and XT just put any microsim in ... there is some debate as to if you needs a brand new microsim on voda or not
-
would be interested to know what it sets you back ... i found when i was looking that most reasonably priced ones wouldn't ship to NZ.

Well put Sir, the dropouts while moving between towers are ongoing software issues that vfone have with their signalling between nodes. What i find most annoying when i'm using any of my friends vfone connects devices is the constant drop down to 2G whenever you try to load anything, its infuriating! BUT WAIT at least they have a "backup" 2g network right!? nothing but an incumbent bunch of muppets that are lead with their PR and Marketing groups at the wheel. /rant (and yes i realize this is off topic sry) as for the needing a new SIM theory ... i will try to get hold of one to test myself but i still refuse to believe something that is so seemingly ridiculous!

In regards to the aftermarket units ... Personally I would never replace a factory monitor setup with one of these ... Only if you had the standard business stereo. Mk4 nav would run you abit more than $500 .... But would still be worth it (q. Hotwire/grant for more info) Intravee are pretty much the best for iPod intergration but extremely hard to find now and not cheap. A dice unit maybe a more viable option which will provide USB/iPod and AUX in. Also it's reasonably easy to get AV in on the video module if u want to run a DVD player or a console on the monitor.

E39 iphone connection to S602 unit.

Yes my dice unit is in the glovebox and I've got USB lead poping out by center console. Harness from boot runs inside boot liner, under seat then along under plastic door sills then up into glovebox from behind. -
Hahaha yea good luck with the 21mbps As for the sims, the only way they can stop them working is by blocking the use of All "ipad1 sims" with the ipad2's hardware ID. Which is ridiculous as there is no Such thing as an iPad 1 sim! And there is no use other than bean counting to do so.
