  1. i dont mean to hi jack but... What are the options for a BMW (1 series) that simply has no space for a spare even if you wanted to buy one. so far all i can see is: A. shell out for run-flats all around B. run normal tyres and keep a can of that gummy compressed sealant crap in the boot with a pump and hope that would get you to a tyre shop. options?
  2. Unless your going to spend big money on performance parts. Just get Genuine BMW pads and rotors. They work well and make zero noise. Crappy generic 3rd party parts cause squealing/screaming.
  3. For a PROPPER aftermarket scanner/diag sysyem like glenn has would cost you many thousands. You can get a cheap tools like this which will give you some codes and reset things but they are not to be compared to the commercial tools and can be harmful so use at your own risk. If you really wanted to sink some money into a tool you could get a BMW DIS setup (which is BMW software) you will need a replica diagnostic head (look on ebay $500+) and the right hardware/software to go with it. but if your only going to get someone to do the repair for you anyway why would you bother!
  4. Same kinda thing as this, but from what i have read not as good. Dynavin
  5. non HID facelift angle eye lights are about $600 each from BMW if i recall correctly. the newer lights also have the adjuster issue so be careful when buying second hand. from what i gather it is much easier to replace adjusters in the old lights because you can open them up relatively easy. but with the newer facelift ones they are "factory sealed" which requires to to basically put them in the oven (or use some form of heat) to melt the glue so that you can get into them.
  6. ill give you 2 broken E30's and a Honda Civic
  7. i have a working navcoder setup if you just want something specific codded. i know how to set it up but i didn't build the small interface board myself (as i cant solder for s***)

  10. in that case you defiantly need a new video module
  11. is it displaying in the widescreen format? (regardless of flickering) if its the original 1996 video module you will defiantly need to upgrade that also ... the older ones are 4:3 only not the widescreen 16:9

  13. they all come from the same place in the end, I've never found a "cheap" way to get one.
  14. if it works it works if it doesn't it doesn't. extremely unlikely your going to blow anything up with a monitor input/output method.
  15. everything I've ever used has been crap ... belkin ... griffin etc will never buy a fm transmitter again
