  1. Got it from Richard ... im pretty sure its a G2? will confirm when i get home. I dont actually use it its sitting in its box still.
  2. Yup talk to richard he is awesome very very helpful. Install is easy as greg said just plug into cd changer connector (note you do loose the changer function when using the dice). no soldering crimping etc required. in terms of mounting, i got a g2 cradle when i got my dice mediabridge, but i couldnt find any good way of mounting it so just let it sit in tray ... any window mount would be fine.
  3. yea but scince when did vodafone sales channels info actually reflect real world network operation Edit: all the more reason to be rockin tcom or 2d
  4. what the others said. being an '01 the stereo probably doesnt have the optional AUX connector on the back of it. somewhere like rapid radio will charge you $350 or an aux install anyway which is roughly what a dice unit costs. go dice. model depending it should charge it at the same time.
  5. It's my understanding that vfone tried to change the terms of sale at the last minute and apple said FU, which lead to a delay in launch. who really knows tho. My wishful thinking tells me that TNT (the courier apple use for online orders) is holding the stock for early online orders and that the shipping labels will be printed by them and then they will be sent on their way, by which time they should be arriving when the retail stores start selling at 5pm. This may seem extreme but Apple do pay a premium on shipping for customized service. This has been demonstrated with other product launches where people who preordered could track their orders days before it arrived and the timeline showed their orders held at certain points in order to be released to the users on the launch date.
  6. of course it does that's the point!
  7. just out of interest ... do you have the rest of the car lying around?

    Petro Octane

I lol'd I Rofl'd then i Roflmao... on topic tho my sticker does say 91-98 altho ive never used lower than 95, as glen mentioned there is probably some technicality in the octane rating system.

    MANHO

unless your extremly tight on cash or have a heavy foot i doubt you wouldnt notice much difference in gas. cost maybe 10bux more per tank (in efficiency not tank size) to run. Edit: and king karl bet me to it.
  11. Great thanks Ray will give you a ring end of week.
  12. Hi all, So my PDC (parking sensors) have decided to surrender. Problem: When i push the PDC button (or when activated by going into reverse) it gives a long beep and the light on the PDC button continues to flash ... i do not get any response from the sensors. What I've tried: Unplugging the white PDC module by the battery turning car on and off and plugging it back in again. Turned PDC on and it worked for about 10 seconds then did the same error as stated above. Sadly i am pretty lost without my parking sensors so need to get it fixed asap Any ideas? beyond just getting it scanned? Note: the sensors are clear of dirt etc.
  13. Springs if u just want it low. (i'm guessing around 400-500 fitted? ... the E36 was $350 for jamex i think) Replace shocks and springs / get adjustable ... if you've got a large pot of money and want good handling (cert req. for adjustable).
  14. Surely this is a piss take. By the way, thanks for giving me a migraine
  15. I have found that with Vodafone the result of doing this is that you are handed down to 2G WOOO!!! 2G!!! because obviously having a "backup" GSM network is just farking AMAZING! /rant
  16. +1 for tcom .... most friends have vodafone ... and 99.9% of the time when they have no/low coverage i have better and faster.

    Hit and run :(

No third party = cover for any third party property you damage. third party + fire & theft = the same with added cover for fire/theft

    Hit and run :(

I agree with the 3rd party compulsory! if you don't have it sooner or later you will get ****ed by the insurer of someone else, i pay a ridiculous premium for this exact reason. (obviously im not saying you do or don't have this even if you did it wouldn't help in this case). Yea i would take it to get looked at properly looks like there might be some damage behind the bumper.
  21. NZ's National Car Fleet is Very aged when you compare to some other countrys and as a result we deal with issues that come up after 8+ years , Most people who buy a BMW new (exspecially a 7 serries) will have gotten rid of it by the time its about 5 years old so any issues are generally within warranty for them. Not really any help to OP, but IMO if you only have enough cash to buy the car and not enough to spend some coin on it later on ... stay away.
  22. It is 30 in the domain but out there where you hit kerb is 50 (the signs are further back by the entrance i believe). If she had hit you completley side on it would have been her fault and would have been obvious to police. Not worth worrying about insurance now ... if its ur front wheel and the rim is abit buckled you could just use the spare rim (if your on the cheap). otherwise just get a tyre and move on to the next shity driver/cyclist
