Haha, the dash on dad's car looked like that when we brought it - some retard had painted it white... Check out the reflection of it on the windscreen, you can barely see out of it. I didn't know we did this kind of stuff to cars in New Zealand... That car's worth the amount of spraypaint on the interior.

The problem with dads car was loose connections at the back of the cluster, or poor earth - clean up the earth, behind the glovebox. A large portion of the interior loom grounds here.

The stuff we used on dad's dash - the one that had glue all over it, and painted white in placed that claimed it "won't scratch or fade" etc.. didn't do it's job, it cracked all over the show - and thats on a dash. Just get some second hand door cards in a decent colour selection - there's heaps around.

With all the facelift trimmings! Took the whole loom from the is, and virtually every panel! - facelift lights etc.. Stripped the sound deadening out of the floor + parcel tray, some behind the dash and used some south african carpet (the thick foam is a seperate layer on the south african models, so I could just remove the carpet itself - the original carpet weighs a metric tonne!) It's nearly running - just 'playing' with wires.

Definately sort that dual mass thing out... The flywheels in these cars are pathetically heavy - all in the name of smooth idle I suppose...

Have a set of larger case (51mm) 325i struts with factory springs, shocks* - *not sure of the condition, calipers and disc. A bit beefier than what's standard on most 318i's and 320i's - good to upgrade them if you've gone from a 4 to a 6. $80 ono Pm thanks.

A guy who frequents work who is about my age (18) has over $20,000 in fines, I was struck as to how it was possible to obtain such a figure in such a short space... This is how he did it: Drove mothers Honda Accord with no license at all - Caught numerous times. Drove mothers Honda Accord with no springs, passengers, after hours on learners - repeatably. Drove suspended (suspended from learners!) Got restricted Caught in unregistered, unwarranted vehicles - and fines for breaching restricted terms about 7 times. Lost license, drove (crusied at night..) suspended. Green stickers, and pinks for driving the above kinds of cars - with passengers etc.. Oh, and speeding tickets in cars with no springs, while being disqualified. So basically the guys a moron and the courts take $140 out of his wage each week so it doesn't matter what he does anymore he's never going to be able to move out of home or drive a car until those fines are paid off, and time ticks over on the disqualifications..
