Is there any way to tell which is high and which is low? I'm in CHCH -james
  5. Can someone more knowledgeable than I (Don't want to post up any not-so facts/assumptions) on Air Intakes, And Suspension, Specifically Lowering - maybe chuck a few links in the mix, Leave the thread up for a month or so to let people add some content, then delete the post and sticky it? Every second/third/fourth thread seems to be on intakes and springs.. The bulk of which has been covered before in previous threads? Idea?
  6. Christchurch, Don't have my car this week (to check the invoices) as ironically mum is using it while her e30 is at the panel beaters. These prices are standard of the panel beaters around here, In CHCH I recommend DT Panel and Performance (71 Byron St) - Quality is very good, I couldn't fault the job on mums car (so far!) very impressed, no runs, machine marks or anything.

  8. Mine has been colour coded in some stage in its life, I've even got the reciepts in the service history lol.. $80 per sideskirt, $100 for the front bumper, $120 for the rear including the upper lip.
  9. All the usual suspects will have those things Rao, Jap Racing supplies, Repco, BNT.. Etc.. I recommend DCH motorsport (Washbournes Road)
  10. Sorrry I meant my NZ new E36 320i E30 320i's only lead to disapointment.. Just not enough power but the added weight of a 6. E30 318iS rocks, 325i good.
  11. I'll let you know when Dad writes his car off Penry. Going to use them for re-sealing your quarter window in that road-tank?
  12. I'd consider buying my E36 320i manual..
  13. Dad's 325i E30 is a 'SE" - "Special Equipment" - Computer, sports interior, Side skirts, mtech2 spoiler.. Few other things which I've forgotten.
  14. Have passed on details. Have a friend who might take a large amount of stuff/whole car.
  15. I've got a shell too.. Facelift E30 1990/1 - Was a 320i. Rolling, Converted to 325i spec (larger struts) White, Panels have seen better days.

    BMW Wheels

After any factory alloys, Will pay $45 per set tops. Not too fussed at all on condition, will consider damaged / broken rims. Chirstchurch only! Also will buy single wheels/doubles/triples..... Word!
  18. I'm after one specific piece to a window regulator to suit an e36.. It's a white plastic clip which the arms of the mechanism attach to, which connects to the bottom of the rail which holds the window - It is secured with a hairpin type clip. If anyones got just this part for sale let me know! Also after some e36 fogs, a window switch, and a gear knob! (how much are the gear knobs from the dealer?)

    E34 Door Cards

WTB: E34 Door Cards, Grey preferable - woodgrain prefered (dark wood) E34 Door cards that aren't grey (black etc...) would need the dash to go with. E34 Spoiler (Small...)

    Pod filters

Factory airbox probably outperforms. Remove any baffling from the inside of it, baffling thats there purely to cut down intake noise. There's apparantly a tube in the 328i that when removed makes it sound just that bit more awesome - Alas none in my 320i. Put a k&n panel filter in if you want to do something.
  21. And last time I checked you don't see f**k all nice cars at the diesels anyway....... They are all old shitters (cortina's, falcons, commodores, sigmas, 323's... - whatever is going cheap...) it's the burnouts where they pour oil all over the road because the cars are too underpowered to light up otherwise - where everyone crowds around leaving rubbish, bottles etc... that is the problem. Most of the people there wear Rotary hoodies, or ford / holden t-shirts from the Warehouse (How to identify a f**kwit..) Then we've got group number 2, People who genuinely make thier cars go as fast as possible, Give it everything off the lights and cruise around looking for drags. And the third group is every person who puts a big bore exhaust on thier car, wakes up everyone around them as they do 50k's in 4th at 3 in the morning. As far as I'm concerned, a burnout in the middle of no where, not using diesel is about as harmless as a stoned butterfly flying through a field of magical fairies. The bulk of these people aren't car enthusiest, they are retards in cars doing stupid sh*t to piss the world off.
  22. With the fining thing, I know of people with 20k+ fines added up (mainly from driving on thier learners...) They just go 'Oh well it's so f**king big, whats another amount ontop of that - add it to my bill' When you don't pay for an extended period of time, they can take your car off you but usually the car's not where it should be and they just piss ass around, and they can go direct to your employer to withdraw money from your wages. Last weekend a friend of mine (who I have no symphathy for whatsoever) got caught drag racing on the south islands most patrolled and fined strecth of road - On a saturday night... Caught drag racing: - Instant loss of license for 6 months + court summons - vehicle impounded for 28 days - green stickered (just for the hell of it, I mean if it's drag racing it's probably illegally on the road) And the speed he was doing (94kms..) - Instant loss of license + court summons - vehicle impoundment - huge fine ($1000+) And now, because he's got over $20k of fines from driving on his learners when he was 15 and this, he has to pay $3500 in 2 weeks or his car gets sold - and he can't just hide it.. because it's at the tow yard for 28 days It's the time of not having a license thats going to deter him, not the finatial cost.
  23. All they need to do is compolsary insurance, and it's nigh on impossible for a 18 year old to insure a WRX.. Easy as that. Doesn't stop retards in slow cars crashing them and dragging though. I think this country needs to have a big cup of harden the f**k up, Just because one person gets killed (well make that a couple each month) we need to change the laws bla bla bla.... I'm assuming more people die of workplace related injuries but every time one of them happens we don't see it on the news. Unless it's something cool, Like falling into a chip-miller. Stupid PC society.
