  1. John, he was referring to his signature picture (I assume), which is a Shadowline 740i. So you can get 3 in one thread, 2 5 Series and a 7. I'm not sure about their rarity, but they definitely are my preference.
  2. Happy Birthday Cam. I'll down one soon to help you celebrate.
  3. K&N you can get from a place down in Church St Onehunga. BMC filters from Retro Products in Grey Lynn
  4. Talk to Dean at Motorscience. He worked on one in Auckland. It spent a ton of time in his workshop. Looked like a bit of a weapon though.
  5. I obviously drank too much the other night. Those photos look blurry to me. Tell us what it is like Paul. I thought those came with 16", not 17" as standard. $200,000 new, not likely $182,000 list off memory and we got ours for significantly less than that.
  6. Yes, the SP is one of ours. It's an awesome car. The car that Ford built the GT40 to beat. 2 litres vs 4+ litres.
  7. Why wouldn't they? I'm going to have a race with a mates 645i on one of the next DYO's at Meremere for a laugh.
  8. Now why would you want a 246 when you could have a 206SP? This would be pretty cool. But you can't go beyond the F2004.
  9. Congratulations. I'm looking forward to the 1/4 mile time.

    Sic??

He's been around, but making less imflammatory comments than normal. But my Mum could beat up his Dad. I'm sure his Dad could beat up my Dad too. But Mum would tear him apart.
  11. 96 is the minimum I'd be using. I dyno'd the car on 95/96 and had 165kW on 98 it was 172kW (same dyno). For the small difference in cost per litre. I go with the higher octane rating.
  12. Stahlwille and Snap-on for me too. Considering I employ a mechanic to do anywork I need doing, it seems silly. Just in case a mate needs to do some work on a car. Actually got no idea where my toolbox is these days, maybe at Mum's

    New GTR

The Japanese M6! None of the GTR's have been attractive. It's about what they can do, not what they look like.

    Pics please

I've just sent you an e-mail with some on. I assume you still have the Touring car rolling. You also still have the Videos from the Wellington Street Race and Targa (Ferraris in that). I'll see if there is any in car footage from Bathurst. Come over one day and check out the photos we have from Conrod's days with Lifestyle Motorsport.
  15. Get hold of Richard at DCH Motorsport (CHC). We may be interested, if the panels are suitable as spares for the Touring cars. Cheers Cain P.S. I'm confused on how you perform a manual conversion on a manual.
  16. Well done and welcome. Enjoy your new beast.
  17. I'd ask Brent for advice on that. It looks like a new paint-job to me. That always scares me on an old car. However, it looks to be in pretty good condition internally (except for the Rangi wiring). Don't listen to Gus, let him stick with his milk bottle sized motor. Get a 5, they are always better.

    t boned

Sorry to hear about that. I drove passed Glendowie College today and thought what a mint beast it was. Always a shame to see a nice example go.
  19. I live in Auckland (according to the news, we've got horrid traffic) obviously from someone whose never driven around London for a day, but yes, it would hardly get out in rush-hour. If Deb is stuck in traffic around Tamaki drive, she's found that idling in 1st or 2nd is good enough to keep up with traffic. You can make me an offer Jock.
  20. Aerodynamic aids are illegal in that 318/320 race class. Are you trying to win it already!?
  21. Round town driving between 12.5 and 13.4 l/100km, on the open road cruising at 110-120, 9.0l/100km
  22. When you say 'Climate Control' do you mean these controls? Or the horizontal rotary ones? If it is the latter, Paul may be able to offer advice.
