I am being mature. I think you'll find, I'm one of the old bastards on this site. I can prove that changing from 95 to 98 fuel got me an additional 7kW (9.33hp) at the rear wheels. Have a look here for proof. http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....p;p=entry Empirical evidence is needed. Powerchips would probably be my chip of choice and Peter Van Breugel from Prestige Automotive was the local person for Powerchip. Mark has one in his 540, but it is the one for 95 fuel and not really attractive to me. Most of the companies claim about a 10% increase in power. I'd start with my exhaust first. As you have the original chip and the Powerchip, get the dyno runs done. For your own records and for anyone else here.

Shouldn't be hard to get 300hp, as Nick got that from an S42.
-
Arse dyno, doesn't count. Show me the graphs. Before and after. I'm sure you may be right, but before I'd cough up money, I'd want proof.

True, Grant. I did think it strange that he would drive a Ford. However, it also seems a crime that you take a Great car and then use another motor in a real Classic. It would be like powering an M5 with a Chevy motor (or worse, as the M5 isn't even in the same class as a Shelby Coupe).

Bad Taste Joke of the Day (don't open if sensitive)

Another for you Grant. Steve Irwin bumps into Peter Brock just inside the Pearly Gates and says "Crikey Peter, you weren't driving a Stingray, were you?" -

A real legend and a bloody nice guy. In a way, a shame he was in a Ford and not a Holden. I'll have to dig out my HRT shirt. Jumped to the Ferrari conclusion over the Daytona Coupe. It was a Shelby.

Please show respect here to one of the greatest

See you Steve. On the up side, they aren't cremating him. He's going in a croc pot. Crikey. Awesome guy, and Australia Zoo is well worth a visit. -
So "Hairdryer" would be a suitable new name then. Nice car though.

Wheel speed sensors?

Very nice. Great job on the wheels too.

Very Nice. 14.78 is the fastest 1/4 time I've got. There's your target for the next DYO day. I'm hoping to go down and race my mates 645i soon, before my R compounds come off. You'll have heaps of fun. The 9" rears were the better set-up. Brent has it on his 535 too. TC is a wonderful button. You'll see it flashing going into 3rd gear in the wet, no problems.

Hi a mint 325iA. 136km, sports exhaust, not going to be sold on these wheels, Original wheels and new Pirelli tyres. $7,500 ono, owner being transferred off-shore. More info to come later.

I just managed to use 65 litres going from Gisborne to Whakatane via East Cape today. Just over 400km in total. Managed to get to Opotiki in 4 hours 20 minutes, after stopping in Whangara (Marae and missing turnoff), Tolaga Bay (wharf, toastie and pie) an somewhere else (takeaway coffee). Good drive, they should rename it Special Stage 35, not State Highway 35. Perfect for an Evo 9! Not so flash in a Falcon Wagon. Cruised at 110kph, when I could actually get up to it.

Sorry, if it's a repost. police.pdf

256 E34 540iS made RHD Globally. 70 of them are the LE and are a higher spec. 1 of those in NZ (ours) and about 6-7 other 540iS that I've seen over here. 10 might be a fair guess, including ours.

Visit Baldwin St. Go to the Cook for a beer. Have dinner at the Lone Star. Visit Larnach Castle (NZ's only). You should be able to pull, if Uni is still in.

Seek professional help. Take it to BMW and they will fix it in a few minutes. No idea, I didn't do it. The 7 series key may well be different. Memory settings for drivers, who knows?
-
I'd think it is the ICV or PCV (same thing, different term).
-
Nice wheels! How did you get the front so high? Take the motor out? Now you need to drop it a bit (not a LOT).

I think my entire family are boy racers. Even the ones in their 50's. It definitely has something to do with the car you are driving. I generally get stopped at checkpoints and have no problem. Getting a proper performance car and not hotting up a slow one is the key. Anyone who owns an M5 or M3 is at least a closet boy racer. Why else would you buy the near perfect road/track car with practicality? I'm all for taking dickheads off the road. There are more than enough opportunities these days to get your fix of speed legally.

Not that cool Gus! I love the Pirelli's too. Remember the cold weather disclaimer on them. Looking forward to seeing it at the track someday soon.

Make me a realistic offer.
-
I'd go for the wheel speed/ABS sensor on your front tyre then. $700 each (on the 540 anyway) However, that wouldn't effect your Tacho.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-NtdWwumMbY Don't get bored, watch the whole thing. They are warming the motor up.
