You can come and clean mine if you'd like a change Paul. I even shout you a

If the probe is faulty. Ask me nicely. I'm pretty sure I've got a spare one in my glove-box.

Highest Dyno reading I've seen within the Club is Monty's E39 M5 @ 219kW at the wheels. They had to let it cool down after a few runs (the dyno, not the car)
-
Sweet! 164kW (@ wheels, Performance Car Dyno day) and the time around Hoonapuna is around 1min 55sec Lap timing is no problem for me at any track except Taupo (the only one we don't have a loop for) I'm going to come down for an Intermarque sprint meeting (to watch, I think) sometime soon. I'll leave the company car and bring the 540.
-
Oh, well. As long as it's in CHC. I can track it down later. Thanks Andrew.
-
Don't do it. Get some decent sunglasses and let everyone else see through your car.
-
Sweet, Tim! Look forward to seeing them in the flesh.

I agree with Martyyn. Fog lights are really for Foggy or damp conditions. On the whole BMW's have theirs set so as not to dazzle people. However my rears are 55W and bloody bright. The number of clowns driving with these on is amazing and annoying. I drive with my lights on on road trips, so people can see me coming. Same as a bike, if you ride one with out your lights on, you deserve to be run-over. And yes, I do ride bikes, so don't abuse me for that comment.

Gee, you're getting ANGRY with age Emma.
-
Happy Birthday Emma! I can't remember back that far. I do know I had fun though. Enjoy yourself.
-
Happy birthday too Ollie. Hope you had a great day!

I'd love another iS Andrew. We just have to get rid of my other one first. Would like to come and see yours, however, I'm off to Napier tomorrow for the rest of the week.

The E34's if they had traction control did not have LSD. Not that they need it with the wicked TC. Hence the 4th fastest time at the Mount sealed Gymkhana with it on.
-
Thanks Grant Have woken up with a bit of a hangover from the Stag do last night. A few too many  . Still, I can't complain. Having a great time over here. See you when I get back. Good luck for those going to the drags!

Mintex 1166 from 0800 racebrakes. They are great on the 5. www.0800racebrakes.co.nz off memory. Ask for Steve. Heard not good things about the EBC. DS11 (or whatever the new number is), is what Gerry is using I believe. He swears by them too. Racebrakes can probably do them too. I also got my Brembo slotted rotors from there. Just take the backing plates in and he will mount the compound on them. Otherwise, he source some and charge you extra (what I did). Ditto on the brake fluid, don't go mad on the expense. Spend the money on the braided lines that we talked about.

Go to your local dealer with the VIN number and ask. BMW HO in Auckland can actually give you a print out of your as delivered options too. However, they don't like to. Go back in the deepest darkest history of rides and you'll see mine there if you want to see what one looks like.
-
I have no idea. I will try and check with some BMW mechanic mates and see.
-
Get one made, unless you can find an M3, Schnitzer or Racing Dynamics one cheap. Maybe someone like the Surgery could help you out.
-
I'd be very surprised if an E30 K&N cost more than $200. The one for the 540 is only $180. I'll get one sometime.
-
Make Kiwi535 an offer for his. Then, he can buy my 540iS and I can get a new toy. Simple.
-
I have owned one. Nice car. Generally, the running gear was changed for a Datsun 120Y and suspension and the car looks sweet and runs like a proper one. And it brakes properly. I restored mine. You could try Gordon's Nurseries in Scenic Drive. He always had heaps of bits. The Morrie club used to be a good source of info too. There is a guy racing one in the South Island. He may also be able to help.

Sorry, it looked like a good turn-out. I completely forgot until David called to give me the BBQ back. I was at the pub in St Heliers.

My old boss has a 740i he would sell. He's just too lazy to advertise it. It's here in Auckland though.
