When you fail uni exams cos u were too busy modding a e30 instead of studying....true story
-
You spend a year underneath it and still going back for more, a lot like a decent girlfriend You start off building a car with some minor mods, and end up getting sucked in to building a full blown race car, all because of "its what the forum guys said" lol
-
Looking porn as. I've said it before and I will say it again, my favourite car on the forum. Period.
-
^ It is on the outer piece of the top floating piece of the caliper, is still heaps of meat left on them, caliper will be painted so nobody with more than half a brain (i.e wof inspectors won't know). Pics to come when I get home from Uni.

Win. Get some pics up!

Thought I would put up a bit of an update, it has been a while, too cold outside to take pictures, so use your imagination. - Been attacking the rust in the rear tailgate and the guards, then it is on to a small piece in the sunroof and it will be all gone - Have been trying to fit these new road wheels to my car: http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....showtopic=24032 ended up attacking the front calipers with a grinder and they just need a little more taken off and they won't rub. - Sold my old race wheels also, so a set of 15 x 7 Basket weaves are being organized as we speak. - Got quite a lot of painting to do this week, Nick 021's eyebrows should arrive, along with my tech 1 wing and spare set of mirrors, all prepped and ready to go, have sourced some clear indicators and red my tails since they are off the car for the rust repair. - Still got quite a large list of stuff that is broken that needs to be replaced, but isn't too big for a 24 year old car. - Engine Bay has received a massive tidy with a painted valve cover and various other rusted pieces and a alloy air box has been made thanks to Anthony (Flake) - Picking up my recovered seat hopefully today, then just need some speakers for the stereo and a new center console this week and the interior is complete. - Then it is onto suspension and brakes. Car will run my old set up (Nolathane bushes all round with Koni Adjustable Race Series shocks with Eibach springs) with the addition of some urethane engine mounts from IE and a front strut brace, and for the brakes my old set up of (Trusting High Performance pads and braided lines front and rear) with the addition of getting my OEM rotors slotted. So that's it for now, plenty to do, three weeks till I want the car finished Have started a fund and part sourcing exercise for my motor rebuild in the summer, more to come on that once the car is sort of done.
-
Id buy the motor if it wasnt so far away, why did my parents decide to live in wellington? lol
-
Jealousy doesn't even cover it 2bh
-
Once mine and Luke's cars are done I am coming up..
-
That is just silly money for a 190k car
-
BUMP..just want it gone, offer me next to nothing and I will say yes
-
Grinded the f**k out of my front calipers today, a little more and they won't rub Pics to come.
-
Great news man, well done to finally get it running Patience is a virtue
-
Haha yeah, wait till I have taken pics with the new suspension in and I was able to drive it round to compress the springs first. Tyres = I didn't pay for them so I don't care about the profile, they were free, and they may save my ass curbing the wheels and they fill the guards up a little more. In other news I am going to say f*** you to spacers and machine/grind the face of the brake caliper down..I have a spare set just in case it doesn't work.
-
^ I'm doing it Have some shortened not old at all bilsteins if you want James, just pm me and we can talk cash.

-
^ I havn't put the rest of the body mods on yet, and I have looked on plenty overseas forums and they can look awesome with the right mods...just watch this space, but your entitled to your opinion.
-
Welcome mate. I had a 316i...and used to get 10L per 100km if I had about a 50/50 split of thrashing and 'easy' driving. Good work and good luck on getting a E30!

Hey there, do you have a unbroken plastic battery tray for the boot?, a uncracked intake boot and a uncracked rubber boot for around the fuel filler? Cheers, Nathan. All of that should fit in a large parcel post bag if you have em
