Actually love your car Riley...even if it didnt have the v8 in it, the exterior mods are perfect. Similar to what I wana do. Man I would love carpet in the garage, cold ass ftl
-
^ Haha the rear speakers have been migrated to my gf's car, so the flaming can stop they were cheap ok ...i'd pretty much do anything to get a set of these wheels. And dw the car is loud enough the stereo does not get used a lot anyway

Good to see you have seen the light considering how mint your touring looked, I am sure this will turn into a gem in no time.

Im not expert, but probably looking at 200 too 300 per bumper..best to get a quote from a panel beater.
-
^ This is in regards to road wheels. Still have the other set of 15 x 7's with Toyo R888's on em..never seen a track yet

Colorcode the bumpers body color

Spent the weekend taking the motor out of the old red car (with engine bay dragon pics to come) so the green machine didn't get a lot of attention. - Made a custom front lip...lets just say I got excited with the holesaw. - Test fitted the tech1 wing..and found rust in the bootlid wing looks porn as tho - Have essentially decided on exterior mods for this car, need peoples opinions. I wana leave it at current 60mm drop height, with a tech1 wing, custom front splitter, colorcoded mirrors, clear indicators, redded tails, tow bar delete all complete with a set of Zenetti's Borbet Type A's or 15 x 7 weaves....thoughts? - Also found several other places of rust, including where the guards have been rolled in the rear so that is the priority for the next week along with finding some properly fitting wheels, alignment and rust killing. - Pics to come.

My girlfriend has loved driving both my e30's. She especially loves the new one with the LSD and I quote "I love to go sideways"

^ I have some 40mm 4 cylinder lowering springs if you want a slightly higher 'lowered' look. Good stuff on the mods its addictive
-
Hey mate welcome to bimmersport. I had a e30 316i as my first car too, red also and I crashed it...except I wrote mine off and it wasn't exactly standard haha. Hope you enjoy the forum and your sweet 316i

^ Haha thanks Kerry, it sure does good burnouts with that LSD.... can't wait to get into the Intermarques, looks like me and you could be quite close.

Right, so after a quick whack over the head by a certain few and a bit of financial thinking I have decided to bin the stereo gear and various other bits I brought and just spend my money on spec'ing the car up for track work/spirited back road driving. The old mix of road and track car (crossing the borders of each ) Current thoughts: (I change my mind like the wind if anyone has noticed). - Not going to bother putting the other dash in, gauges will be moved to a new location. - Will keep the new head unit and hide some upgraded speakers in stock e30 covers on a stock parcel tray. - Am going to buy 2 sets 15 x 7 Basket weaves or some Borbet A's of which one set will be for road tyres and the other for my Toyo R888's. - Only exterior mods to the car will be a color coded tech 1 wing, color coded mirrors, tow bar delete, various discrete stickers and a modified front lip to accommodate brake ducts with a redesigned oil cooler cutout. - Interior will be entirely function over form, strictly business like, keeping with the stealth bomber theme. Under body mods will be listed once I decide what to buy/upgrade from the old car

^ Do you want a bag with that keyring Mike?

Got quoted $50 each wheel for full strip and powdercoat in essentially any color including metallics, so now bimmersport please help me decide a color, it will be the entire wheel covering the current chrome lip. Here are some pics of the wheels in their current state for inspiration (Can't stand the black on a PFL car). So help me!!!!!
-
^ I will try take some pics today with them on. Surely powdercoating is more durable than can paint...which is what in on them at the moment and the finish is really soft
-
Thanks Glenn, I have done a bit of research and had some contrasting views. Anyone else got any input?
-
So tempting. FML.

Does anyone know what limits to color there are? I want to get these wheels powder coated, obviously I will loose the chrome lip but I can deal with that. If only sensible colors can be chosen I want to go plain silver. If anything can be done, I want gold silver like JiB's Volks in his thread, gun metal like the current Sportmaxxes on the car or a bronze color. Something different that blends well with the silver green. Here is the car they will be going on: Advice, knowledge and opinions please.
