Thanks for the comments everyone means a lot. Thanks Bravo + Riley, means a lot to hear that from you guys, when I joined BS, your guys cars were some of the original standouts for myself. Just guts me more since it was my original first car I have fully owned. Yeah I assume insurance company won't touch it just give me back the crumpled pile of metal. Plan is to find a Alpineweiss Coupe shell, I won't be stripping it out, will be a DD complete with tow bar, roof racks, JDM as detailing etc. Hopefully with a m20b25 in it then can swap to m50 later on. Probably keep the slicks for a little track work. Really need to see what state the car is in first, just want it back now And Cam your right, every cloud has a silver lining, coming from a 1.6 I guess it can only get better, bigger and bolder from here

As many of you would have seen from my extensive project thread here: http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....st&p=252415, I had 95% completed my Road Legal Track Car on a Budget. Well as of a few hours ago, she is pretty much goneburgers. Long story short, traveling at 50kph in suburban Lower Hutt, blinded by the sun, didn't have my sun visor down (silly me), didn't see the queue of cars ahead of me, barely had time to put the brakes on and went straight into the back of a Toyota Corolla, who then went into the back of a ute. Don't have any pics yet, but hopefully getting it towed home tomorrow after insurance company has sorted it. Only had third party so I am f**ked and the car was valued before the modifications were done. Car looks in pretty bad shape, all of the front is smashed in, passengers side door can't be opened etc, don't know if it is structural, didn't want to look close at all as you would understand. Am seriously gutted right now, have put about 5k into the car, on the plus side nearly all the mods on the car can be swapped to a new shell. So yeah, hopefully get the car towed home tomorrow and can have a closer look and some pics. - Nathan

Penry, what about this, my bad if your not a ford fan, but if I had the cash I would buy this is a heartbeat, hot hatch (ish), low ish miles, rare in NZ, low price, well under 6k, looks pretty well maintained, manual etc etc DO WANT. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-220892126.htm

Just a quick search 1. Probably out of price bracket slightly, but ultra cool minus tail lights and is local http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-220045332.htm (pretty sure its the same one that was posted up awhile back). 2. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-222354361.htm (probably could go offer lower, has been on for a while, not a coupe but could sell any goodies you didn't want for a bit of cash back, sadly is in CHCH).

Or buy something else and save the 328 motor for me for 6 months and I will buy it off you to put in my e30. Would definitely buy it then, and you wouldn't have to ship it anywhere I vote e34, as the prices of those 540i's that have been advertised around here, is some bargains to be had

^ Just keep your old ones in the car with you also, I have some germans too, havn't been pulled over with them yet, but have the plain set in car just in case, may help you get off a fine if you swap them there and then. Have only been snapped by the guy at BP, apparently they have a new number plate recognition system and obviously it won't pick the fake ones up

Welcome, good to see more e30 owners in Welly, WOF's are hillarious with a e30, flip a coin and you miiiiiiiiight get one lol. Bring the Matt Black beast to a meet, your car and my bonnet can be friends Edit: Spelling fail

Won't lie I personally reckon Tech1 looks far better. *Flame Suit On* But good luck if you get a sale mate, it is the best color on a motorsport on some badass wheels. If I wasn't a poor uni student I would be keen as.

^ When you have less than 100hp, weight is everything

Cheers guys, I don't think it's too bad myself. Oh and Checker Plate FTL I ain't no ricer and it's too heavy!, atleast with rubber mats I can pull them out for the track days Went for a cruise with Boost Junky (Luke) yesterday in Welly, cruising along the motorway "oh bro are we really going 140? LOL", " I didn't realise this was a 1.6, goes hard as". Mwhahahaha makes the 5k ive put it in so worth it I will wait for him to post here to get his true opinion haha. Must be time to test it on the track
-
My thoughts exactly.
-
^ Yeah I saw they were your old wheels. Have just polished them up and repainted. They are cool wheels. Thanks mate
-
Well I gave it a mega clean since Boost Junky (Luke) is down in Welly so I thought I would give him the fright of his life in a ultra clean monster Looking pretty good for a 20 year old car with only one repainted panel. Am going to give it a good polish and wax next weekend when Uni breaks off for exam leave. These pics are mainly here cause apparently nobody has seen my car as a whole, just parts of it also had a piss poor attempt at some art shots...im not a photographer of still cars, moving stuff like WRC etc is more my forte Wheel alignment has changed the car, handles flippin amazing and all the money poured into that part of the car is totally worth it...especially the R888's I am really happy with how it looks exterior wise, will probably get the wheels refurbed and powder coated gloss black in the summer with the m50 swap, mainly because the paint is pretty soft but it will do for now and looks good In the middle of those pics is some new ad ons, just a tool box bolted to the floor for some zip ties , 'real' number plates, bottle jack etc etc and also the dished wheel installed, it feels so nice Still more bits to tweak, mainly the soft brakes, fit some brake ducts, harnesses and rear sway bar and this project will be done! For now.... Enjoy everyone
