So I am tossing up the idea whether to put a better ratio diff In the car while Im playing around with it. Have the opportunity to get a 3.91:1 diff for very cheap, compared to my 4:27.1 should I be able to tell the difference on the track? Still running 14 inch wheels by the way? Opinions needed. Cheers

when i respray and cage next year, maybe I shud delve over to the white side
-
Yup sure did, havnt put the battery back in yet so dont know if it works lol, i hope I cut the right wire haha

hot, white e30s are the sexiest end of story
-
Also does anyone know if I could get away with 205's on bottlecaps with a 50mm drop and avoid scrubing? I know the arches on e30's are huge but just checking. Cheers

Old as thread but have just done this on one of my bottlecaps. Cut back with 400 wet and dry, primer surfacer, then 800/1200 grit wet and dry then shoot with two coats of polaris silver then couple coats of clear coat. Look factory as haha

I am swapping my e30 316 front discs and rear drums to a full 325 disc set up, do I need to swap the brake booster from a 325 over as well? Any help will be appreciated Cheers, Nathan

Same thing happened on our auto subaru legacy, replaced the igniton coil, fuel filter and cleaned out the air flow meter/sensor with proper cleaning fluid and it never did it again. Hopefully that helps, or take it to one of the wise heads above me

Thought I better add a small update since its a beautiful day in Wellington for once. Spent all day yesterday working on the car, bent a new center console gauge and kill switch holder out of alloy, making a lid for my cold air box, replacing all the hose clamps with bling bling new ones, wiring up the kill switch, removing the front struts and control arms. This weekend I am picking up a new output shaft and some other bits I needed, removing old bushings and fitting the nolathanes that arrived yday into control arms and trailing arms. Next week most likely ordering new control arms (ball joints are shot), brake pads, rubber diff mount replacement and a fuel filter (do repco do these for cheap ish?) Will put some pics up later, its too early to be playing with a camera lol. Cheers guys, Nathan

-

-
I bags a ride when you arrive in Porirua

I think I may need to take the joints out that pivot off the control arm with the bolt through the front subframe, the boots on those go underneath the joint???
-
Cheers Glenn, is there a tool or a specific way to remove the actual ball joints from the control arms?
-
So in the process of removing my control arms and front struts on my facelift e30 316i I noticed the little rubber boots are cracking and have split in many places on the control arm mounts/balljoint and the tie rod ball joints. I have had a look on real oem and pelican parts and couldnt find a single part number for them, am I able to buy them by themselves? Or do I need entire new control arms and tie rod ends + balljoints. Any help will be appreciated Cheers

The ST220 is a mean car, my dad tried to buy one of the wagon version when the occasional one pops up. My family have a Old shape Focus ST170 (my daily driver atm while my car is being built, and hands down it is the best car I have ever driven and probly wont be beaten till I buy a e30 m3 haha) so you can expect the same from the mondeo im sure. We also have a New Focus ST Turbo and that is a rocket ship, so I can vouch for ST's drivability and all out badassness. Best of luck with the new car, enjoy it

Bump, really need these parts, im not sure if the rear sway bar bits are specific to a 325, can some one help???
