I know I might be dreaming here, but does anyone have one spare? And are they standardised across the 14/15' wheels? Let me know before I buy one on ebay. Cheers, Nathan

Hey Sam, after you polish with autosol, do you seal them with wax? if so what? sorry if I have missed a post with that in it.

I am still undecided whether to run center caps, considering they get stolen a lot, but I am refurbing them also at this point in time. Can't decide whether they look better with or without.

^ Rear wheel arch in front of where the subframe mounts I guess.

^ Sweet cheers Dave, I will go have a talk to Paul and see what he thinks.

Hey guys, So yesterday went to a reputable BMW specialist who checked my car over pre-warrant and he said there is play from the drive shaft to the diff. So if you were to move the driveshaft back and forwards towards the front and back of the car there was some play at the diff end. The LSD diff in it was rebuilt not too long ago from a previous owner(s) but he said if I didn't sort it I would start snapping CV's or destroy the gold plated diff that is in there now from visual measurement, there is about 3-4mm of play at this point. He said a small metal spacer can be made to shim out the pinion gear? (no expert with diffs) to stop the play and normal service can be resumed. Have been put on to a guy who sort it out for me, but wondered if others had experienced this first and who they took it to, to sort it out and approx. cost to fix. Any help is appreciated. Cheers, Nathan

Welcome, Probably is now the hottest car on bimmersport, especially in that color. Loved them since I had one follow me on the desert road, the sound that v10 makes is

^ Nah nah no splitter yet but the rest is identical, aside from the 2.9 stroker sitting in the engine bay

So my E30 motor sport seat has too much play in it to be safe on the track in the Intermarque series I want to enter the car in. Basically my only way around this is to swap the seat out for a race seat + harness. Before I do that, has anyone ever done this or something similar? http://www.e30tech.com/forum/showthread.php?t=82306 I want to know where the play occurs to where the seat moves away from the base, if you grab the top of the seat and check for play. Any help? Cheers, Nathan

Will be watching this closely as I may want to have a M30 in my E30 next Interested to see how the M10 gearbox lasts.

Since I am such a nice guy, in a good mood today despite not driving up to the Hamilton meet today, I figured I would take one tiny pic of the car (95% complete) with the RS's on for all you lovely people out there, car hasn't been cleaned in 3 months and wheels havn't been polished and waxed yet Before anyone says need more stretch, less profile wank wank wank, it is not a show car, I still want it to handle on the standard B road thrash whilst off the track. Enjoy

By break I mean saving my pay for a fortnight In other news had a full BMW inspection today and have a few things to sort before it can go racing! And maybe a small electrical fire under the dash to get the day rolling nicely

Could be keen at some point, but will wait till I can refurb the whole set, which won't be for a while, I like the 'worn in look lol'.

^ Haha well I must have gotten out of the right side of the bed today.... I am no wheel whore so didn't really know what they were, he said yip they are rare 2pc BBS wheels didn't really think too much of it, then threw them in the car, thought hmm BBS wheels usually have a stamp on the inside underneath the center cap and low and behold saw RS001 (15 x 7, ET25). Yip Jono I will go halves with you though I have wanted a set forever and find it hard to see myself selling them anytime soon. Have just given them a decent clean, had about 3mm of brake dust on them, will give the centers a good wax and the lips a good polish next week after warrant time, got a warrant check tmoro so needed them looking semi shiny. There is a teeny bit of curbing on all of them, my car isn't a show car so I am not worried at this stage, for $600 including some average tyres which will get turned into smoke on some spare wheels soon enough, it is by far the best bargain I have had in my 4 years of E30 modification ownership. NB: I noticed they have gold bolts on them, I don't know if they are original but they go well with my metallic gold Alpina stickers on the car Here are a few pics, all going well I will have a showroom thread in the next week with them on the 'Hellpina' in their jizzworthy glory. Sparknotes: I brought some badass wheels by accident and they are rad. Chur. Here are a couple of the awaited pics:

Pics coming in about 2 hours Mark just waiting to get them back from the tyre shop

^^ I agree again, as I said before function over form, you can't see the outside when your driving inside it.
