hey buddy, firstly welcome to bimmersport, nice car you got there, mags look pretty good on that paint job. If I were to make any changes, I'd look at getting some of the smoked angel eyes + indicator (single unit) and swapping them over as would look much better than those crystal indicators and would still keep that aftermarket look to it whilst adding that classic angel eye touch. I'm not so sure about sticking a kit on it but I'd at least go through and colour code the bumpers skirts. edit - front kit would look badass on it . Hope it doesnt have altezza style rear lights, if it does I'd suggest going for a set of smoked clear rear tail lights. Cheers Andy

A manual 318 as oppose to an Auto 318 produces much much better performance as far as I've seen. Headers and cam gear would be rather pointless I believe as the cost involved doesnt justify the output you'd be getting.

Higher price yes, but your looking at a company thats been around for 20+ years ? with that much experience, marketing and design put into it ... you shouldnt expect they charge the same price. Otherones are so simple, that looks like it'd way close to double the weight of the schnitzer one.

so if it looks good on that car ... it doesnt mean to say it would look good on your car. So maybe post up your car so that we can visuallise if its worth going to all that hassle. We try our best to give constructive comments so that you can come out with the best result at hte end of the day. Maybe this thread would be better suited in the Appearance & Audio section as 'my 1998 318ti msport' is really some random guy off the internets. Rides section is purely for showing off your own ride, getting suggestions and things. Should make a decent effort to take photos too not just pxt's if you can possible help it. My dad wants to take part in the 318i I'm not sure wehther I'll compete. Will be driving Zinoberrot e30. The weather could be a telling factor. Not forecasted to be too good

meh my mate just bought M3 same condition I'd say same specs, for $20k. I dont know what hte market for E36 M3's is like but your price is a fair bit higher (25%) when he managed to get the same thing from a car dealer(I think).

nice buy, looks good. I'd probably go about defining it more through larger more mags with a slight dish on them, as well as clear indicators front side and rear. That would be a start anyway, but IMO its fine just the way YOU like it.

hes just a complete newbie is what he is. I'd say it probably hasnt been given a full service since hes owned it based upon the condition its apparently in.

a friend of mine whose owned way to many E30's (in excess of 5) went and saw it and was curious to check it out. Anyway he made the following observations / conclusions. 1) The exterior and engine bay is green .. rip up the carpet its red 2) There is rust here and there 3) It wasnt hardly better than a standard 325i 4) Steering wheel sits at 7 o'clock direction when going straight 5) was rough as guts 6) Leather is crap condition 7) Speedo doesnt work 8) South African Import 9) Poor respray 10) some rust repairs poorly done though apparently 11) no aircon 12) Brake warning light on 13) paint wearing in engine bay 14) not worth its price told me to tell people @ bimmersport to steer clear of it as its a dawg.

they are usually either here or in transit. Two of those M3's are here as I've been to the place where one of thems advertised and the others been for sale for a while.

sorry I meant the bulk of E30's ... M325's are a different story. By showroom condition, I mearly meant that as a figure of speech as it is very rare that you find an E30 in better than just good condition these days. An mint M325 is worth upwards of $9000 and possibly as high as 15 but the real showroom condition ones (like the one in Coombes Johnston European in Hamilton) are priceless.

the thing is .. with E30's there is alot of different ones aruond on the same model of cars. So its possible it might not be what it specifies in the manufacturers description.
