Saw a nice white E92 M3 coupe on the way down the mountain (Tukino). Front wheel had been nailed by a pothole so wasn't going anywhere quick!
-
I acquired a pair of black corner lights for an E46 coupe, not that I have an E46 coupe They're brand new with bulbs. They look exactly like these: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-315024826.htm Is anyone interested in them? $30 picked up from Grey Lynn

Got ya, that makes sense. So I could just splice the Angel Eyes into the parking lights as I want them to be my parking lights. Thanks mate - legend.

It looks like what the diagram doesn't show is splicing the cable into the plug with 4 pins (see last photo). This is what you mean Blackie? It's all wired up to that plug with 4 pins....
-
I thought it would be simple, but see the diagram. Like when you install an HID kit, there is a separate plug going from the existing wiring to know when to power it. I can't figure that out with these? I'm being a muppet so hopefully someone can provide clarity. Haha

Guys, I just picked up a brand new pair of Depo headlights with Angel Eyes for a good price. (They are the same ones on TM from Eurolights) There is a wiring diagram - see below - but I don't understand how that will work. It just seems to be wiring it up to the battery without any connection to the switch? I'm not particularly flash at wiring so keen to get your help - how will that work?? Thanks!

Moving house and I having trouble getting up the steep driveway
Smac01 replied to Tristan's topic in General Discussion
I assume you're trying to reverse up the hill? Go down the driveway backwards so you're driving forwards up it! I used to have to do this on a gravel driveway with my Aristo. -
Just in case you haven't had time to trawl TradeMe...... Here's a pair closing soon: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-314061259.htm Or these: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-314626318.htm Otherwise Johno will have some good deals.

I'm sure someone else will have more of an idea, but it might be leaking thru the seals around the tail lights?
-
Hey, Does anyone have a set of roof racks for an E36 sedan? Preferably with ski holders. PM me. I've trawled thru TradeMe but nothing stands out apart from a set without holders. Happy to pay with cash / beer / pocket lint or a combination of all 3.
-
Yes, 1 bulb per side. The LEDs on TradeMe are $100 for a pair, which is all you need. Note, the seller is out of white and only has blue left. Blue won't be legal.
-
Probably! OP PM either Darren or myself if you want a replacement. One of us can sort you out.
-
Haha I knew I should have sent a PM! The LED ones do look cool if you can justify the $100.
-
Alternatively, I have two spare bulbs for E39 Angel eyes (from when I upgraded to LEDs). Let me know if you want to buy one, or both, off me. Good to have a spare. EDIT: You can pick these up too if that's easier (I work in town, live in Grey Lynn)
-
Just get them! If they're such a good deal, what's the worst you have to do - on sell them? You know you want to.
-
Yeah my opinion is the same - it's definitely funny looking. I've never seen it pop up before!

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-310183572.htm Now this is something I haven't seen before!

Just saw this which might interest some of you? http://www.1-dayout.co.nz/

Nice work - look forward to seeing some pics. White E39s look awesome. And that's a great price!

Steering wheel shake upon braking
Smac01 replied to dreadful1's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
My E36 had the same issue, it was "warped" rotors which just needed machining. Luckily mine had a lot of meat left so skimming was an option. Otherwise new rotors will be needed. -
The ones in reflector style housings are shocking! Ie brighter than a normal car's high beams. The worst I've seen is a Landcruiser Prado with an HID kit.
-
Yeah that's exactly what I thought at the time too. Just wanted to clarify! Good discussion though, as it's something that should be sorted out. HID kits on TradeMe are ridiculously cheap now.
-
Josh, that's interesting. So your interpretation is that any E36 with standard projector headlights could install an HID kit (ballasts etc) and this is ok? I know I did this on a previous E36 but wasn't sure if it was legal (even though it had clean cut-offs etc). It is a very grey area.

This is an awesome thread. Starting to wish my BBS RXs were two part rims.....

Sweet, Glenn gave me a comparable price too. Cheers
