I Assume you are taking the tar insulation out? With mine a heat gun (not too hot, not too cold) worked well, then thinners to clean up the balance.
  4. However a strategy of getting a good mechanical warranty will take the sting out of that. I've had fast euros for many years. Some are pretty much fault free, some not so. What important is get a clean one to start with, slap a warranty on it, and budget for a couple of wty excess's PA. In between any issues (assuming you get them) you'll be cruising in style.
  5. Stock sway bars front and back. Might look to remove the rear at some stage. Baby steps in the setup.
  6. Stiffer rear(more) and also front springs just added. Looking to reduce the current slight understeer it has
  7. Project Loose Weight, parts arriving: these have come in from the UK
  8. Have one fitted to my e36 3.0 m3. Works a treat.
  9. But... Why not just drop the limit to 80kph then. Then all accidents will be survivable and you wont loose much time by your calc's? I'm all for sensible limits on relevant roads and the police targeting non sensible driving as opposed to " easy to catch zero tolerance speeding". I find it simply stupid they encourage people to 'ídle''on the wrong side of the road when overtaking when people have fear of getting a ticket. Crazy...
  10. I found them on Ebay.de (in german). Use the Chrome browser and use the translate to English feature (better than IE). Email them, and they normally come back in english. I'll cal also provide you these guys direct email if you like. What you after?
  11. me too, and also central auckland. Mine is a NZ new car, converted to tarmac spec in 2014
  12. Just installed this extra wide accelerator pedal overlay. Also have the brake and clutch, but didn't bother installing. Should make heal and toeing a little easier (have struggled in this car, yet have done it for years. Could be the different pedal travel due to brake kit, dunno). Fingers crossed. Else i'm at risk from dangerous compression locking of the rears, tends to chuck you sideways when you least need it!
  13. His new workshop is scheduled for opening end of march.
  14. Spoke to Gavin from Hi Velocity today. Have penciled a custom map in for next month' ish.
  15. I think you'll see them get the new 110kph, if luck prevails.
  16. I agree that on certain roads, an open speed approach can work, but for NZ i think they need to focus on a KEEP LEFT on the motorway for a starter and stop getting pedantic on small duration over-speed limit situations (over taking periods). This will allow traffic to flow better, ensure people are more aware of their surroundings, and keep peoples minds working.
  17. yes, Alu GT(or optioned Evo) doors. Off ebay.de http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-E36-M3-GT-Alutur-Beifahrertur-Alu-Tur-in-Arktissilber-met-/281490037426?pt=DE_Autoteile&hash=item418a1d1ab2 The doors are not that expensive (Last years exchange rate helped), but the freight is a killer, I closed my eyes and wrote the cheque anyway Separately also got an Evo Sump and some unique 3.0 spares from them like starter motor and power steering pump. Gave up trying to source this locally.
  18. A couple of packages arrived from Germany today, as part of my weight loss program. A clue, magnets don't stick to them.
  19. Thats pretty close to mine, 14052299c1 I assume yours is a 3.2 evo S50B32?
  20. It's supposed to be an e36 evo 3.2 s50b32 oil pan. I've always had patchy luck with realoem as they don't seem to track all the pn used. Anyone else ?
  21. Can someone help me confirm that a PN 14052299c1 is a E36 M3 EVO Oil Pan (oil sump) ? Google has let me down on this one. thanks PS. I've just purchased it and want to confirm its the correct part. This seems to be the only PN stamped on it.
  22. Repair made to Nav foot rest after large 'guest' cracked it during entry My first experience with fibre glass work. Quite easy in the end.
