  1. I have been looking for a E30 325i for ages, but haven't had any luck yet so I thought if I put up a little incentive a suitable one may just turn up. So even if you put a note under a windscreen wiper if you see a suitable one it's still easy money. This is what I want: -Must have list: 4 door (even a wagon) , 5 speed, elec windows, facelift model (1988-1990ish) very tidy cond, don't want a mega mileage one or Jap import. -Would like list: Sport seats, OBC, towbar, service history, sunroof, Mtech steering wheel, LSD (I know I'm dreaming) Colour in order of preference: Silver, Charcoal, Black, Red, White, Blue... Champange(least fav). Budget: Up to $10000, but more like $5000 for what I want (It would have to have everything and be perfect for 10k) If you can find or put me in contact with a suitable car that meets my requirements and that I end up buying then the $100 will be yours, so start looking. I am in Chch so I will need a least a ph number to ring, but I am willing to travel to see the right car. Thanks for looking.
  2. Hi, I had one of these as my 1st car and they are great fun. 1970 with 5 speed, dohc, twin carbs, 4 wheel discs and they seat 4 people. Yip they rust but the engines are great. Alot of fiat parts are interchangable between models which is cool. Price wise they are getting a tad pricey but you should get a good one for around $4k-$5k. Also you will have to decide whether you want an AC, BC or CC series. I prefer the AC, BC, but there is a lot of discussion which is the nicer. Have a look at this link. http://forums.toyspeed.org.nz/viewtopic.php?t=28929 P.S: I think the 323i has sold.
  3. I've had a few checked at GAC in Chch. he charges $70 for a check and knows his e30s well. Has saved me from buying one dud. A few years ago when I was selling my 325i someone took it to chch BMW and they were finding things wrong like: oil leaking from front shocks when they had been replaced with gas shocks a couple of months earlier! Also things like ripped gear lever gaitor! Perhaps a bit too thorough on a 1986 car! I am holding out for a really tidy 4 door 5 speed, which seem to be like hens teeth. The m325i looks nice but I need a 4 door. There is a m325i for sale down here, 1986 240kms for $8900 ono sounds tidy.
  4. What the heck there hasn't been one of these ads for at least a week! I'm seriously after a facelift 325i 5 speed in excellent cond. Prefer a 4 door with all the goodies. If you have one of these or know of one for sale please let me know. Also check out my e21 323i for sale. Thanks
  5. Just a bulgy 70 series tyre on my lumpy front lawn! I don't think there is much interchangablity on either brakes or susp.
  6. Any interest? Have you sold your Laurel yet CaM? It might have to take a visit to trade me!
  7. My 323i is up for sale, the details and pics are in the wanted section under CaM's Casually looking ad. (I hope you don't mind CaM) It has done 302kms but it has been driven 50km per day open road to work and back for the last 15yrs by the previous owner. I paid $3100 in november and have put new headlights, tail lights, given it a service, ie engine, gearbox and diff oils. Also put a new wof on it. A interesting alternative to a elusive 5 speed E30 325i and not much slower. Anyway have a look. If you want to see how cool these cars can look do a image search on E21 323i. [email protected] Or 03 3435150 Christchurch. Thanks Gareth
  8. Hi, sorry I don't know anything about this car, but thought you may be interested in a BMW E21 323i 5 speed in very good standard cond. I am in Chch so give me a ring if you are keen. Ph 3435150
  9. The 535i has sold by the looks of it. It was at turners, keep an eye on their website, you never know when and where one will turn up. Good luck!!
  10. There was a mint e28 535i at the Chch auction the other night. 1988, switchable auto, silver, 145 kms, NZ new, not a mark on it. The auctioneers estimate was $1000-$2000!!!! it had those metric wheels on it, but it had brand new Michelins and a spare tyre in the boot along with the spare wheel. I'll find out if it sold or not. I was tempted to go back and see how much it went for. But I knew I would probably end up buying it! (then I wouldn't be popular at home)

    E21 parts

I have bought a E21 316 for parts if anyone else is after anything drop me a line. It's a LHD German import. After I have all the parts I want, it is off to the crusher!
  12. Hi, Graeme Clyde is good, he runs a company called GAC (German auto components). he owns a e36 himself so knows them well. There are a couple of other places but I'm not sure what they are like, BMW service centre, Kevin Burt Ltd is another good one. Have a look in the yellow pages.
  13. I rang the guy last night and it sounds as though he has had plenty of interest and he has someone very keen on it. It was imported from Japan and is in good cond but not mint. ie. cracked front spoiler, a few door dings, small crack in dash etc. I think he is posting some pics today. I live in Chch and haven't heard of the Mclaren place he mentions, but he has all the receipts etc. Shame it's white!!

    1990 BMW 325i SE

Yes it is still for sale. I rang my mother to confirm if it is a SE or not and everyone was right it isn't, so sorry about the mistake. (but it gave you something to discuss!) I think she is wanting at least $5000 for it otherwise she will just trade it in. I don't know if this price is realistic, but that what she wants. She is in no rush to sell it either. I think the car is a ex russian embassy car from wellington. Drop me a email if you want any other info. Thanks
  15. Whoops, I had a feeling I read E30 somewhere!
  16. Is it a E30 or E36? Could you send me some pictures please. Where was the car imported from? Where is this car situated at the moment? Thanks.

    E21 323i

1981 323i, 5 speed, good fun in the wet! I'm after the sport interior and maybe some other parts so if you see or know of any let me know.
  18. I'll try again later. This is one nice 325i, it must be seen!!
  19. I can't seem to attach this jpeg, it is only 300k. Any ideas?
  20. I have recently got back from our big OE. Here is a nice 325i I parked behind in a place called Biarritz on the French coast. You can just see our campervan in the photo. I also have a picture of a hot M roadster if anyone is interested....

    1990 BMW 325i SE

It has some of those options. Sports auto, front fogs rear headrests, colour coded rear spoiler. But it doesn't have sport seats, OBC, cruise or the skirts. I will post up the pictures tonight, sorry the car isn't very clean but I was just passing through Blenheim when she mentioned she was going to sell it. I also noticed that the front black spoiler has gone missing. Thanks for your interest. Also did anyone notice the 5 speed conversion kit on trade me? $250 to make this car a manual!
