Interesting. But Paul Hackett had a Hellrot 540/6 with cloth seats in front. So how does that fit in? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=172913725

Well i met Steve Williams yesterday, he's just a nice kiwi bloke. Not pretentious(sp?) at all. Well the story is this. My partners granddaughter (Maria) had leukaemia, she had been in remission twice, 2nd time was after a bone marrow transplant, but sadly just before xmas it returned, unfortunately there was no more that could be done to help her. So we all just held onto the hope she would make xmas, she did, she was the strongest person i have known but she had excepted the fact things were very bad. We did the make a wish thing and she got a Suzuki 4 wheeler but her one wish was to go to speedway one more time (she loved saloon racing). So on Saturday night she went to Huntly to see the saloons. Steve was there and she got to meet him, you couldn't of got the smile off her face even if you tried to. My partner went up to see Maria on Monday, got there 1hr 10min before Maria passed. We had the funeral yesterday, just as the service came to an end and everyone was gathering outside to say goodbye to Maria, a motorhome with a saloon car on trailer turned up with 'Caddyshack racing' on the side turned up and out gets Steve. He came to pay his repects to a child he didn't know. To top that he took the time to get sign writing done on his race car that said "Racing in memory of Maria McNamara". Some will have opions on why he did that but i know he did that out of respect and heart felt kindness. I know he would have so many requests for things like that but he did it for Maria which makes me think he did it for the right reasons. Anyway i will finish by saying 'Thanks Steve, it means so much to us', although he won't see this thread i just had to say it somewhere. R.I.P 'Ria 6/00-01/10.

You could mate but either you or Glenn would have to drink it as i don't drink lol.
-
That's it Glenn, pure simple respect, that's what's lacking these days it seems.

Who else here runs their own business and goes out of their way to try and help others out. Either with goods, services, prices, you get told yeah yeah when can you do it then they don't bother. I'm tired of it......yes it's part of doin' business with the public but come on. Example: A full respray on a mid-sized car, same colour, outside only $1200-$1500. Or inside/outside $1800-$2200. I stand by all my work and as i work from home i can't run away and hide IF there's a problem. It seems people still equate "cheap" with crap work/service. Well i've won many awards for my work but if people don't want to take advantage then their loss i guess. Bit of a rant but also i'm interested if others have had similar experiences.

Thanks for that.........................................clown.

All good ideas. Also maybe go out to Havelock, find a vineyard with big ass gates and vines as a backdrop. Te mata peak top car park?
-
All fine examples of New Zealands drinking culture , no real surprise we have a problem aye?
-
I may have to re-word it as i'm willing to let it go with the cars. However in saying that i could possibly sell it seperate but have no real idea of its value.
-
So was i mate, i'm a bit dissapointed but we'll see what happens if it sells or not. May just go on back burner for awhile.
-
Well things have changed and they're for sale http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=263910459

And yet you 2 have the audacity to tell others to stay on topic
-
Just 'bout to book my flights lol. http://www.tothepointnews.com/content/view/3617/85/ That'll f**k 'em.

Well Em' i for one agree with you. My partners grand daughter has terminal cancer and WILL pass very early this year at the age of 9, but that will not make the year sh*t, it will strengthen the family resolve to enjoy every little part of life, whether good, bad or indifferent.

A version of that boot is available in the states. I've seen a gangster rappers album cover that has an E34 M5 on it with that boot. That actually looks like a Thai or malaysian (sp?) E34 club members car.
-
Was just thinkin' that very thing.
-
I don't think the WOF/reg thing will be an issue at all. With your discription, the realy low k's and the condition of the car i think the kinda people who will be seriously interested in it will not worry 'bout the WOF/reg. Nice tidy mk 4/5's are rocking horse sh*t now mate so pump the sh*t out of it in the add and i think you will get a pleasant surprise.
-
John, from what i've seen of Mk4 and 5 'tinas lately, you've undervalued it a little. As it's such a good looking example maybe get it out, wash it and get some pic's in the sun. Especially the interior and engine bay. That motor looks brand new so why not make a point of showing it off, it's even got the correct colour screen washer fluid lol. Just my 2c mate.
