allo allo so my 320i m20b20 (pf/l) is hunting once hot, aka non stable idle symptoms go like this Cold - Good idle of ~1000 Warm - Hunting goes from ~1000-1300 Hot - Hunting in full stride, hunts from ~600-1500 most air pipes are new, idle control valve worked perfectly on old engine(using same one) will it hunt if timing is out? ive also read that it can be caused by the AFM but the old engine didn't hunt and used the same AFM, also the ECU worked fine on old engine The twist is, the idle goes up when the oil cap is removed on the old engine the idle would decrease messing with the idle valve doesn't do much also engine does not smoke and makes nearly no mechanical noise, and has good power hope someone can suggest a solution cheers in advance, James

lol i just took the power steering pump off mine and connected the 2 pipes remaining, works fine for me

haha this is going to be a wolf in sheep's clothing ive got all the parts for it just need 10k and RaceFX will finish it, because of the fabrication skills I lack Its going to consist of a E30 Shell pf/l S50b32 (getting vanos removed) 6spd box e36 M3 rear end (includes the big ass black diff and everything) e36 M3 front struts e36 M3 driveshaft e36 M3 steering column Not sure on what body kit were going to run with. pretty much all e36 stuff on a e30. i must make it clear i wont be racing this, i am meerly building it for my dad. should be completed by mid-end year, with a bit of luck

yeah i got rid of the shroud aswell (m20b20) didn't make any difference for me, also took the electric fan out, never gets to half way on the temp gauge.
