M30 and M40 starters will not work with the M20 flywheel, whomever sent you that has put you wrong don't even bother swapping gears like Brent has said, small M20 is what you need give me a call if you get stuck, or someone else here will have a starter cheers Jon

best you check the engine bay before you drive it next, especially near the bulk head on both sides.last thing you need is fuel on a hot exhaust cheers Jon

mmm, E30 4hp22 you will need to change bell housing tailshaft housing and output flange and if you change to kickdown cable version, you may need to alter cooler lines and sort out trans program error on the check controller did one recently manual convert, would make it interesting to drive
