You want to go back don't you, Mercedes boy
-
From what I have seen, the w124 is a good car, a bit boring but ok & yes , the new cars from Merc do look a bit asianBMW & Audi have much better looking designs Whats the deal with Ssangyong and Mercedes? Do they have some sort of parts deal or something? Auto motor und sport voted the 2001 5 series "Die besten autos der welt - Gesamsteiger 2001" BMW used it as their sales slogan : According to the world, its the best car in the world. I have a poster of the 5er on my wall, thats were I recognised the "Auto motor und sport" from. Useless info, but ah well.

Thats really ugly, way overdone and they seem to have a fetish for gull-wing doors. Rice on bimmersport tends to get the thread locked...
-
Yeah i agree, Keep it for the track.

Like all the podium drivers said "A weird GP"

Bunch of lucky people at BMW, Getting to ride the coolest cars. Topgears pretty cool, I have watched it once or twice. I watched it when the guy rated the E39 M5 (he hated doing so) in his top 10 of all time.
-
Thats good that you sold it Ryan. :thumb: Are you going to be buying another car/ BMW?
-
Yes that is true, but also they get you there to market the E90's.Drive it + fall in love with it = Buy it & They earn money.
-
Yeah like he said, nice clean car. The mags suit it too. What kind of bodykit? Mtech or something else?
-
Nice, Very nice. Looks like a good, clean, original E30. :thumb: How about some 15" basketweaves? There was some on Trademe the other day for $900. Or like you said 16" Alpinas will look mint. It doesn't happen to be manual does it?

Happy Birthday Carl. Have a good one.

Ahem, Make way for the DTM M3

That is a bumpstop rubber and nice to have if you make a habit of bottoming the car out but not necessary. Cut it off and chuck it... won't affect your warrant. Mine were also shot and have removed them and got a warrant since. Hey there.Sorry but you may not have realised this is a very old thread, all probs have been sorted out and the car is gone and forgotten now anyway. Thanks for the help though. Emma.

The book is from the Library, and i just loked at the Pub date and it says 1976! So even if its just like the tiniest 50c part in the trans or whatever, replace the whole thing? Surely it'd be worth the work instead of paying thousands for a new box...
-
Wow, a carb, whats that??, just kidding, its only every tenth blue moon we ever saw a car with a carbtimes have changed long ago in that respect, infact even a simple job like adjusting the idle speed on the new BMW's is not a case of open the hood & adjust a screw, its now, plug in the Computer & down load the new specs !! Off goes that book then!Well really i am reading it more to just get a better grip on the basics, like how to change valves and replace old gaskets etc. They might be a thing of the past too, soon... with all the hydrogen/electric development going on.
-
It depends, his may be a new Quattro, in that case it would be mint, as with all new cars.

They can get very busy, there is alot of compter work ie all the workshop manuals are online, all the information systems are online, alot of the Diagnostic work is all via computer & then there is the reprogramming of various control units etc etcthen of course there are the older cars which all have there usual faults & some not so usual Thanks for that.Do they work with older BMW's with Carburretors (sp.) in them? I am just reading a book about Engineering that is rather outdated and it has Carby's in it, Just making sure it has some relevence to Engineering today.
