  1. Of course i did Andy, But people will just get bored with my ramblings on every detail.
  2. Well i have just come back from Cooke Howlison BMW in Dunedin. I had a look at the 330i, and this is what i think: Its way better than it looks in the pictures. It seems bigger than the E46 (there was one parked right next to it) and it looks pretty roomy inside. All in all a nice car.
  3. Nah im not sucking up or anything.. its just that honestly i think they are the best at fixing them.. from what has been told. So :finger: you too Your just jealous becos your names not on the list

  13. Well it all depends.. this 88 E30 & 91 - 92 E36 your talking about could be a M3. Or it could be 316.. theres about 30 thousand dollars difference.. even more. What model are you on about for E30? And also what model are you on about with regards to the E36?

    New car...

The 318 Engine changed in 1993, from an M40 (from the E30) to an M43The M40 has 113hp and the M43 has 115hp. I'm pretty sure they're 1790cc. So if your looking for a 318 that 95-96 it'll have the M43 engine (note the 4 between the M and the 3 ) The E36 facelift was in 1997 and changed a few things like: More rounded kidney grill, new panel surrounding the headlights, new indicators, new front apron. The Interior changes were storage nets on the rear of the front seats & pyrotechnic seatbelt tensioners which pull the seatbelts tight in a crash. Yeah i think most of the problems of the early E36's aresorted by 95/96
  16. Nice car.. infact mint.. but those chromes aren't nice.. even if they are dished
  17. That happened to my parents E36 stock lights. Its kind like a fog misty looking stuff.. is that what you are talking about? Well if you are, then the best cure is time. Just wait a week and it'll go.

    New car...

And could you really see his Mum and Dad doing that? How about go for a Toyota Camry, or a Nissan Bluebird of the Jap cars. Boring but reliable/cheap to fix.Mercedes 190e that is actually 1.9?? Maybe even a E36 318iS - 1900cc... but that would be about 10 g's + So yeah a Camry a Maxima or a Bluebird would be pretty sensible.
  21. Heres a picture explaining how the VIN decoding works..
  22. Well i'd be pretty dumb as to run into that garage and try steal it.

Hey Gus, just for ur info i was snooping through the Otago Daily Times today when i was in Dunedin, and i found an advertisement which stated: 1989 BMW 325, Leather, Spoiler , Alloy wheels (which immediatly got my attention because of low k's leather and spolier coulda been M TECH and the dealer might have missed the MTECH kit) So i went and had a look at that car dealers, and i had a bit of a chat with the guy, quite freindly bloke actually. Anyway i got a few details outta it all. 1989 325i 95 000 km's Japanese import in 1997, Service history with Cooke Howlsion BMW (The local around here) Head work, with full recipts Black, as in either Diamant Schwarz or hardcore black M TECH steering wheel Black leather seats, but they had sheepskin covers on the front ones, but from what i can tell in the grooving in the covers, looks like sports seats) And i'm such a dumbass... i forgot to have a look at the tranny... so i don't know what shift it has. Anyway if you want to contact the guy: Motor Inn Cars Ltd 384 Andersons Bay Rd South Dunedin Dunedin 0-3-455 5155 www.motorinncars.co.nz A/Hrs - Alan 03 472 8911 Oh yeah, and when i was in Dunners, i saw our old E30 (random i know)
  24. Go to CHCH BMW.. and ask the Parts Manager if he can decode the VIN and find out what options there are, I have done that twice for Mum, once with the E36 and now with the E39.Dammit Paul, you've got some of the meanest options!
