Yeah, Its got VANOS which is variable valve/cam timing which makes it perform better blah blah blah. With the spark plugs just take the engine cover off and have a look round in there. BMW reccomend and use Bosch sparkplugs, every 40,000 KM, I think. DIY steps: 1) Pop out two cover plates (1" dia or so) w/ flathead screwdriver 2) unscrew two nuts holding cover onto engine block 3) remove oil fill cap and then remove the plastic cover. 4) Remove hex bolt securing each "BREMI" plug to engine. (See arrows). 5) Remove spark plug. Note: "Bremi" plug does not fit tightly at all onto spark plug tip. It slides over spark plug w/out any tension or clipping whatsoever against the spark plug. Screwing on the bolt and diameter of plug collar maintains proper alignment.

Good luck with 9-11 .... it's more around Andrew's figure ... There is a 325i with Mtech stuff here with fairly low K's that going for 10500 ... and it still hasn't sold .. Yeah, around 7 or 8k looking at that again.
-
Crikey, That was quick.... Don't like BMW's much or something Well anyway depending on condition its probably worth around $9,000 - $11,000 When you go to sell it, make sure that you mention MTECH kit, theres a guy on trademe selling a 2001 525iA and he hasn't mentioned andything about the MTECH stuff it has.
-
I think you'll find Andrew was just being cheeky. Realistically its worth about 6 grand depending on condition etc and whether or not its an E30 or E36.
-
Thats rice on a non Alpina car.Its like putting a MTECH badge on a 318 stocker, It just doesn't work. Yeah, what he said... both cool though.

Thats wicked, BMW totally owns. Also, take into consideration that: a) BMW Dont make a sub 1 litre b ) BMW Dont make a 1 - 1.4 litre c) They won 6 out of 8 that they where entered in. Also taking 2 spots in the 2.5 - 3.0 litre, 2nd in 2 - 2.5 litre and 3rd in the 1.8 -2.0 litre. d)They're in the top 3 best ion the world for all of those categories, apart from economy. AND overall they have taken out the top 2 spots. Big shout out to Munich, Well Done. Call me mental for that explanation, but that is excellence in its finest form.

Open it with a Photo editing thing, like for example Photoshop.Click on "Save ass" and then go to one of the arrows and it'll have a whole lot of files like .bmp .jpeg. Save it as .JPG (or .JPEG) And a bloody big bugger about your car

No, Theres no such thing as a E34 M525i. There is such thing as a E34 525iS though. It probably adds a kit, M TECH steering wheel and suspension.

slower - as its heavier - because as it has no roof they have to make increase torsional rigidity in otherways. i.e big reinforcing bits in the unibody. Oh i see, Thanks Andrew, have always wondered if they would be heavier/lighter.
-
Would it be faster seeing as its got no roof? Or the same because it has mechanics to operate the roof?

Holey crap... Having your own peice of the world wouldn't be such a bad idea.. if aliens were gunna take over the world one day you could say that they could have your island in exchange for you own life. Now thats worth 8 million dolars isn't it?
-
Yes, It is good to see some competition instead of Michael winning everythingIm with ya on that one, Ferrari will come back, I'm a MS fan, but really my favourite team is BMW. Arrogant twat? Ha thats a new one, i haven't seen any examples of his arrogance...
-
Well after his no - win so far this year, I think people are starting to doubt him. Personally i am not doubting him one bit, He's had years where he hasn't won before and had many problems. What do you guys think? I was reading in a magazine last year that they reckon Fernando Alonso is the next Schuey.. It looks that he is showing his driving skills off quite well lately. BMW/ Nick Heidfeild got second in the Nurburgring last night great second place for the German in his home country, with Fernando Alonso snatching the win. Kimi Raikonnen's cars right suspension collapsed in the first corner the last lap - so close yet so far.
-
Damn - I'd hate something eating into me like that. But then again i'm not a car - as much as i think i am

Power Import sounds rather dodgey.. but just go with you gut feeling and if its good then go for it. If its not well then...

Gah.. no 6 cylinder purr..But they seem mean as anyways :thumb: Why does this not make sense 2.0 6 cyl but M3 2.3 2.5 4 cyl. As far as i know 6 goes after 4 in the German language.. so no problems there.
-
Yeah, There should be MY E36's thread of "Funny" photos..You seem to have a lot of them.

You will find the euro engines are still called S50B32's and share the same cast iron block as the S50B30.The Yanks called them S52 because the M50 was changed to a M52 (with the introduction of the 2.5 (323) and 2.8 (328) which have a alloy block, except for the US 'cause they are so anal about anything new but they still went with the new naming. The reason I mentioned that is, if you stick S52B32 into google you get a hole lot of US. crap, not the euro info you are looking for. SPECIFICATIONS US Model Coupe Engine Code: M52 B32 US Model Sedan Engine Code: M52 B32 US Model Convertible Engine Code: M52 B32 Euro Coupe Engine Code: S52 B32 Euro Sedan Engine Code: S52 B32 Euro Convertible Engine Code: S52 B32

Are E30 M3's only 4 cylinder? And why does it have a M3 badge?
