They're just a bunch of wankers.. just jealous. My advice is to ignore them.. or rub it in their faces. Onto the third BMW in the family now, and still get sh*t for it. I have even lost my best mate, because i was sick of his and his dad's jealousy.. so sick of him coming to my house and looking at the E30 and saying "Oh its just a pile of sh*t" In front of me.I should have smashed him one right there and then. Then i found out a month later from my other mate that went with them to a car looking for a BMW - but got a Nissan Cefiro Wagon instead. They got what they deserved. But anyway BMW drivers get less respect because of the fact they own a BMW. CaM - The market is getting flooded by E36's from Japan. Thats why there appears to be sooo many around.

Thats one mean compact Marcel! With the 2.3 business, its a 2.5 Turbo right? Or a 2.3 cos i know with our 523 its a 2.5 Litre SE. Next stop the Nurburgring...

Lookign good Andrew. A German plate would really top the whole front off. Nice choice of colour too.

My new sig. Don't bother commenting on how its like Andys, because i won't listen. I asked permission first if i could make one similar.

Man i'm so gonna be me one of those.. and if theres not enough room in the actual car.. i'll be able to stick a seat on that front liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip and have my mates sit on there.

Yep loads good Andrew, although i can't tell the difference since last time. Hell i can't even remember last time. Ah well good work, loving the banner, and nice layout. Very clean and tidy, like not cluttered.

Yes true... München - Munich You must be German to actually call Munich München How is pronounced anyway? like moonchin or munchin.. cos that kinda sounds like im munchin on something.

I think if you wanted that to happen, you'd probably need to get a BMW alarm (factory one) As for BMW saying it won't be possible, i know i'd rather believe them than people on the interent, because after all they made the cars, so they know everything about them. This is kinda random but we brought the E39 from CHCH BMW. They are quite a nice bunch aren't they. Especially the Manager, Mel, and the Mini man, Scott. Welcome to bimmersport by the way. We hope you enjoy your stay.

Well i have spoken to Dad about all the options, and i think he's worried about getting a fine for not having a genuine one. Also i don't think he wants a Europlate, just incase the car ever changes to a spaghetti tin or a 4WD.Damn it all.. ah well i'll keep researching the German plates. Thanks for all the help guys.. well let ya's know what happens. Also if we order any, i'll post a reply in here asking if anyone wants anything .. cheaper shipping.

Yeah HB Andrew... have a good one. Dont get too pissed
-
Yes its crazily dangerous - but if it was done on a track it'd be better. Still wicked

Thats f***ing awesome! Old? I haven't seen it before... Good work Andy

Andy, I use Turtle 2001. It works great, just spray a little on a rag and rub in (your hand may get a little sore).

Hey 318TouringQuite keen on getting a NZ rep from this place.. is shipping a mint (coming from the USA)? Cos i just got a reply from plates.co.nz quoting $500 for the plate i designed, and i really don't want Dad paying that much for a piece of metal. Nice car as well :mosh:

So basically the answer is no if i don't want to get the olds pinged? So long as the originals are in the back, does it really matter, because the numbers are going to be EXACTLY the same as what they are now..
-
They look quite evil (black plates) although it may make your car look old (no offense) because back in the day (1980 or something) they had white lettering on a black background. I have contacted europlates and asked them if they could get the preview working, and i also asked about bulk discounts (just incase any of you guys want to do a groupie buy)

Cheers G and Gus Will talk to Dad about it all. Then i might ring the LTSA (anonomously of course) and ask about it. The other option would be to get a re plating of the current rego on the car to a europlate.. which would cost around $200.. but whats the point of that when you can get the real thing for about $50 NZD?
-
Cheers Gus. Roughly how much was it to convert the $27.95 x 2 plates to NZD? Also how long did it take to ship over here, and was the shipping dare? Any wiring fee for the $$ transfer? Sorry i'm shooting all these questions, just want to get it all right before i rush out and buy one.

I have seen the ones Gus and Andrew have got, and i quite like them. I have been to www.europlates.com, and have typed in the current rego of the car (UP****) but the picture won't load for some reason. I am looking to buy a 21" authentic German plate for the E39, but am seeking advice on what to do about it. If i buy a pair, and it is EXACTLY the same numbers as the current rego, can the olds be done for anything? With the kiwi number plates that are currently on the car, do you just put them in the boot or something? (just incase a pig comes running and wants to see the origs) Do i have to get a special kiwi sticker or anything to put on it? If there are any other things i should be aware of, especially legal things, can someone please tell me... And yes, i have thought of exchange rate and shipping Thanks in advance, Emma.

Gus, Have looked on europlates.com and clicked on 21 inch German authentic.. then typed in the cars number plate and then waited for the preview to load, but doesn't work.... Am really keen on buying a couple to put on the car for.. Mums birthday but i need a pic to see what it is like.. does it work on your computer?\
