As per title: Have an e30 325 minus motor and gearbox anything is for sale including the lot as a whole for $400 motor overheated and head is suspected as cracked so please get in contact if you want to buy any parts from it nice and cheap. EDIT: should mention it has electric windows + sunroof and on board computer. mtech 1 steering wheel with rip in the top or leather. Cheers 318isteve. NOTE: seats gone, and glove box gone. Hay everyone, I have a friend with an e30 f/l who has overheated the bugger and blown the gasket, it all looks pretty straight and clean (for having a blown head gasket) and wants to sell it to me for $450. I figure since the body's mint the interior is clean as I may as well buy it and get the head crack tested/skimmed whack a new gasket in and clean/flush the whole lot try n get it going again.. worst comes to the worst I can flick of bits and pieces and make some money back.. Apparently they are known for cracking the head under the cam? Anyone got any input or experience on fixing overheated head gaskets that have or havn't gone so well? Cheers guys!

any luck with improvements in the flat spot? have u checked the fuel pump/lines?

have a similar problem in my 1.8 m40 be interested in seeing any solutions as im kind of keen to get rid of it

keen on diff mount but unfortunatly have a small case, Anyone know wether the diff mount size is the same? google isnt being to helpful...

what cost on top of the purchase price would one occur in importing one of these? just a rough idea..

Help i need some advice on the best priced bearings and bottom/top gasket kits for an M42 motor im rebuilding local people are all asking for about 1200 surely someone out there must know of a chearper source?? be much apprecaited cheers guys! Steve

oh ok yea have been looking on there and found some relevant stuff and plenty thats not! what sought of hp would i expect from a rebuilt engine with some intake port and polishing, head job perhaps some stiffer springs, chip, MAf conversion, cam job, lightened flywheel, cold air box and full exhaust system, with a raised compression ratio? anyone know where i could source some solid lifters and stiffer valve springs want to rev to 8000 cheers again everyone

hi there rebuilding a m42 engine before putting into my e30 and would like to know what sort of power i can see and get a good idea of what i will need to do (any rough costs would also be good) i want rw180hp and dont want to bore it out any help or advice would be much appreciated cheers

yea hoping to find a 325 gearbox to swap in with the conversion also.it is a sedan e30 and 318is is two door, is is pretti much wrcked on the exterior panels and that interior's not bad.

hi there just brought a wrecked 318is (e36) to transplant the m42 motor into my 318 (e30) while im taking the motor/gearbox out is there any thing else worth converting? perhaps suspension or diff? etc any ideas or knowledge from previous conversions appreciated greatly. PS anyone looking to buy a e36 318is gearbox? car has done 156km offers.

who does a wild cam for the m42 and any idea on cost? cheers
