Could you put a pic or link to the rims and tires(pending) that you mention in the opening post. Wikd
-
Great! Are they still avail? Is that through your work or a biz in your area? Def be keen. Otherwise I'm down for the shipment with a lolly. Cheers all. Edit: just read CamB post properly, thought it said $45! Dam, if they're only that much I think I'll go with Gavin...

Hey, need to replace the exhaust manifold gasket on the 325i. Wondering if there are aftermarket ones avail that anyone could recommend and a ball park fig for cost. Cheers in adv. Rio

Dam, that's a fair bit of coin for a car... I guess if you have that kind of extra cash for a car it wouldn't be a thing, but are you really getting your $300k's worth?? What justifies that kind of price tag?
-
like the one in palmy... how oz max? got a whip yet?
-
Nice, car looks quite diff with the new rims.
-
man, i'd expect the $$ to be drying up!!! There's rd works all over welly at the mo, was down south for some gigs (central area) w'end before last - rd works there. Was just at waiheke on w'end and more works there. Fulton hogan must make some serious coin, only ever seen one or two other major rd companies in the country. btw who's harold. lol.

Yep, def ugly to look at... Kinda reminds me of my aunties citron (i still get shudders thinking about it) from back in the day, but remodled for an appearance in a transformers movie. Her car was even a similar colour...

Good score!

Some of those european clips have the cheezmeister sound traks from hell... one doz too many disco biscuits. shame cos the cars are dope. yea, was a well shot clip and sweet ride.
-
Thats a real shame. Previous owner must be gutted as well, 'specially after the way he'd kept it and the price he'd sold it for. Glad to hear you've found a lil something to keep you occupied!
-
cool. not sure about the sound-trak tho... had to stop when the 2nd one kikd in.
-
Dam, that's some serious brownie points to your old man...
-
Previous seller had certainly loved that car and was still adding replacement parts etc (while auction was running) for next owner... those rims the current owner has on look pretty bad imho.
-
Nice ride. Def keen on the weaves. Anyone know where to find them? Apolgies in adv, havent even attempted a search...
-
Tried to locate the thread but had no joy from search function. Think it was gus lookin at this car a few weeks back. From memory he'd just missed out on it. It's up for sale again... http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/881159.htm

p.s. would look good with badge back on hood... 2c.

yea, matt blck and the rims work nicely. I've only had my bmr since the start of the year so i'm def keen to do a meet n greet for the next welly meet... welcome, btw.

Cheers for the advice, will go and check that cover out. True, welly winds and winter will be a crazy test. Dont feel comfortable letting the elements totally hammer the car with just a wax coating to protect it. Rather chance a bit of superficial marking to fix up in summer... if i ever get the colour code for it!! Did i also mention we're about 3 hundred meters up from lyall bay beach. Had entertained the idea of getting a carport type tent/marque and dynabolting it into the driveway!!!
-
Hey have been doin a bit of online searching for car covers but would like to get some feedback from people who have actually used/own them. I've seen ones described as having 3 layers, breathable etc etc. Looking for something waterproof and def robust - i'm in wellington Place we moved into back in nov was originally having an extra room and garage built but there was a prob with consent etc so never went ahead. Gutted! got to get something before weather goes really shyt. cheers.

I finished my studies about ten years ago (moved down to welly) and the system was rubbish then. I did a 6 month foundation course to get an idea of what the degree studies required. My parents had divorced when I was about 7, mum raised us solo and had part time work/dpb. Student loan/allowances couldn't process a solo parent income so I had to get my grandmothers income for the purposes of having two incomes for means testing!!! If this wasn't shyt enough it took them about 4 and a half months (remember this is a 6 mnth course) to process the first payment, in the meantime I had to get food vouchers from student association and keep telling the hostel manager that the payment was coming through. F**kin embarassing to say the least. I borrowed the full amount for the degree course which prob added around another 20k on top of fees and that's not including interest that has been adding up. Thing that really piss' me off with the whole paying for education bullsh*t is that the politicians who passed the bill had studied free of charge. Mthrfckrs.
