  1. ^^ weird. my cluster is on the same curcuit as my stereo/fan/clock and my lights still worked when all that blew when i did my stereo. E30s are a bit dodgy like that haha
  2. does it blow when you put the fuse in, when you switch on the lights (get someone to watch it as you pull the light switch and see if they can see the flash as the fuse blows) or after the lights have been on a while? all are signs of a short, the first is before the switch, the second two would be after the switch with the first suggesting a constant short, probably at the taillights. and the second one could be a wire dangling/moving around as the car moves and eventually shorting out on another piece of metal FYI the wiring runs along the passengers side of the car next to the subframe/chassis rail then up the back seat wall, into the boot around the left hand lip and the loom splits off into the left and right in the left rear corner of the car. Edit: After rereading your posts, the tail lights are wired independantly thats why one side can blow and the other is fine, and also the instrument cluster is on a different curcuit to the taillights.. are you saying more than one fuse is blown/blowing or not?
  3. Theres a dude on bimmerfest that reckons a Sunroof from a Saab works. never heard of the end result, but ive just asked him so i/we'll see if he replies http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthrea...;highlight=saab
  4. well hes saying he doesn't know the capacity of his engine so premixed is better as it will be 50/50 no matter how much you need
  5. Not to mention its hard to get a 50 50 mix
  6. does your alarm flash your headlights or your indicators? either way i would say theres your problem there did you get your alarm put in "professionally?"
  7. looks like someone snapped them up. Im sure they would clean/polish up alright. If i wasnt so busy i would have and flicked them
  8. Went through my archived Emails yes i have his name will tell you on MSN later
  9. Whats the point of taking it out? You need to replace the struts and trailing arms as the hubs are different i believe. i was going to convert my car to ABS and i needed this so im guessing the opposite way is the same
  10. That looks like the head off my parts 325i. I sold it to a guy not far from me about 8 months ago knowing full well about the head being like that and he said he wanted it for parts anyway. Looks like youve got it now though

  16. Im in freakin wellington do you know how unpredictable the weather is here??? haha. sweet as though
  17. So your saying something is ment to be under that round panel under the seat? ive wrecked a couple E30s and have had that cover go to nothing so didnt even bother to check it on the 320i. so there is a sender there i should replace? ill have a look if i have a sender there or not
  18. I know what you mean.. my 90' 320i doesnt have that but my '89 316i does. Never noticed that difference before. Would you mind finding me the link to this person if possible? im going away on a road trip next week and would rather like it fixed. its never bothered me before but handy to know now
  19. sorry should have proof read. Edited
  20. The gauge drops smoothly from Full to 0 in the time it takes the fuel tank to fall to about half way. ie half full tank indicates empty on the gauge, full tank = full on gauge. I have replaced the Sender twice, and the gauge cluster was rebuilt and then replaced and none of these fixed it. im out of ideas.. they are the only two possible issues i can think of. The Sender is VDO and my gauge cluster is MotoMeter (though i have tried a VDO cluster) does that cause any compatibility issues? I went to the yard and all three E30s with Motometer clusters had VDO senders. Any Ideas?
  21. Ive used the high heat stuff you use on the engine and that works quite well. done it 6 months ago and still looking sweet on a DD
