  1. I know this! thats why im going to call you tomorrow as per yourr PM! (or now?) i called you yesterday but you must have been out?
  2. Well i went out and brought an AFM and put that in, then i swapped the diff 4.45Open -> 3.67LSD, and while under the car i noticed the sensor in the cat had come out so i screwed that back in. Obviously the LSD makes a different being lower ratio, but its either the AFM or the Cat sensor that fixed it, or both. turns out my fuel gauge isnt working though either (i know because the tank said empty, took it to the petrol station and only put 20-30 liters in). Is a bad sender, the gauge cluster has just been rebuilt and i double checked everything and made sure the earths were tight
  3. i refused to believe it too so i tried them in a mates car. 10 = exaggeration for 4, but still. I might have one sorted now though.
  4. mmm ive brought like 10 there and im sick of getting home and finding they dont go. the wont let me take my multimeter in to test them erghhh
  5. So top of them need to be rethreaded to fit properly? im not quite sure what you are saying sorry
  6. yeah might do that. trouble is that it is very intermittent. sometimes it will happen, it will be fine for a week or more and then it will do it again. this is the first time that it has cut out on me though. On the plus side i have fixed my bad fuel economy now though, pity the two problems arent related as i though they might be :S
  7. Red 3 Black 1 It looks good on black cars and on white cars imho, especially with a factory spoiler or MT1 or 2 Edit: whichever you chose (which looks like its going to be red!) paint them on the inside of the lens, not the outside. The can told me to spray it on the outside even though my judgement told me not to, and i wish id followed my head. Havent got around to redoing them yet
  8. mm didnt think about the earth. (LOL) I have an ignition switch here so ill see how i go with that Â
  9. heya. tried starting the car today and it wouldnt do it. was right in the middle of xmas shoping grrr. Car is ex-auto so my first thought was those wires coming loose (the car has done it before and this fixed it). relinked them and nothing. checked the leads to the starter and they were sweet. tried starting again, nothing. Texted my mate to come tow me home (he works 5 ins away and would have been leaving at 12 anyway) and then straight after that cranked it and she started up. texted him not to worry and then set off home, and then the car lost power. because the car was rolling at 50, it sort of crash started itself and carried on going and i got home. Any ideas? i would imagine these two ideas are linked. Master Relay? Bad ignition switch maybe?
  10. im personally loving the Subwoofer in the boot.. okay on any other car, but you have the sub, then the noisy ass engine, and then the passenger cell! at least put it in the front boot! is pointless weight where it is
  11. Im sure you will be able to sell the for the price of a new set of RS's? Surely thered be quite a market for M3 wheels?
  12. I have the same racks, they are OEM so you should be able to get them at the dealer. mine were second hand off trademe though
  13. Im keen on front and rears. dont need subframe ones. Repco quoted $200+ corner so anything is better than that! What do they want for the fronts?
  14. my bad! yeah i went on that webstie thats shown on the back and they have some sweet cars
  15. Lucky for some huh *rolls eyes* (or maybe unlucky, depending on how you look at it )
  16. True but did i say my 320i was fast?
  17. Its BMW technically! Why the hell you would do that is beyond me. never got to see the front but the back and sides look legit so i think its an actual Rolls. Saw it on the way home from the meet last night
  18. Im going to assume you are oblivious to the fact your E30 (and mine for that matter) will be considered part of this category by the authorities? I agree with you. 18 is too much. the school leaving age is 16, so therefore how are the kids who leave school at 16 because school is not the place for them going to get an apprenticeship? My dad is a tradesman, he wont take on any employee that doesn't have a minimum of a restricted license (one exception), and logic would assume the vast majority of tradesmen would be the same. (with the exception of maybe a mechanics/panel beaters where the customer comes to you) [below not directed at you, are my own thoughts] Im 17. i think i know it all on the road. ill agree to that. But as someone else said, i walked into the AA, took an inspector around the block and got my Riskies. 12 months later, and after a pointless Defensive Driving Course which taught nothing but logic with no practical what so ever, i took a different inspector around the block, this time narrating what i was doing at the same time. Its one thing to be told what to do in the event you get into a skid. recalling theory a year later when you are on the wrong side of the road heading towards an 18 wheeler is easier said than done. been there done that, only a parked car instead (oil spill + 90 degree turn + rear wheel drive = FAIL). My idea for the new system: *Learners at any age. The earlier you get on the road the better in my mind. more experience has got to be a good thing. i know people will argue this.. and know it wont ever be implemented, but i was driving at 8 years old, and i believe that experience behind the has contributed to only having a single minor fender bender as my only crash in just under 10 years of driving. *Restricted at 16, consisting of a practical on road test the same as now, as well as a practical session on the skid pad learning how a car handles when aqua planing/sliding. This should be with the option of using the car that the person will be driving for the majority of the time. *Full licence should come at 18, possibly with a further practical component, as by this time kids have been working for a few years possibly, built a nice car that they love which is possibly different to their original car.
  19. thats like comparing apples to pears... since when do people compare a stripped out racecar to a stock standard engined cruiser with full options? agreed
  20. For the blower motor. obviously it must be in working order. let me know if you have one. need the three resistor type, not the two
  21. E30s are slow with M40, i cant imagine E34 with that! according to Wikipedia, only 53,254 examples (in the world one can only assume)
