  1. ^^ i was quoted on moving a pair of E30s for sale around a year ago from auckland i think to welly for $800 together, and niether car moved under its own power (exact details a little shady now) so thats a pretty good price and probably reflects thier prices on everything
  2. ^^exactly what we all wanted to say without wanting to be so explicit
  3. Wow never seen a bronzit in NZ before, in the flesh or on trademe! Priced a bit on the high side, it is surely flawless for that money
  4. Get a lot of the buying/selling, current events and car news streamed through hotmail and/or facebook, and then on top of that: Hotmail, FaceBook, bimmerfest, BS, TM and keep refreshing the first four while on TM Edit: stumbleupon.com <-new favourite website
  5. ^^ thanks for asking.. i was just about to untill i read your post
  6. In fact there was a thing on Campbell Live or Closeup or something today about this aparently. heard it advertised on the radio but i didnt finish work in time. If you hold onto the car (or chattel if not a mechanic) and continue to be unpaid, can you sell the car to get payment or what? Ive taken my car to the mechanics a few times when i simply havent had the time to fix it (i DD my car for school/work so cant afford to have it off the road unexpectedly for more than a day or so) and one place charged me extra on top of the quote and i thought that was a little unfair. they knew before they started the job two as i was quoted wrong on the part not the labour. Another time the job ended up being almost twice the quote, but i was charged the quoted price. Would happily name the place if i could remember the name, i think it was Hutt City European? near Hirepool/Lollypops etc on a side street next to the railway. would definately go back there if i need work done again The question you have to ask yourself is do you go the extra mile and virtually gaurentee business in the future, or do you do the short term thing and find yourself out of a job.
  7. i know what you mean on the whole money thing. dont be put off buying an E30 for 1000, you can easily make twice that back an keep the bits you want. two lots of first hand experience up in here
  8. I assume hes talking about the whole arm bracing thing haha i was gunna say that when i saw it too but though better of it
  9. Not saying that your second statement isnt though! my mate had so much stuff stolen at her 18th and noone knows who it was, and it was all close mates there :S
  10. if its anything like the Accent of the same era, they are pretty torquey for what they are. nothing in the top end at all, but then again its not the sort of car youd expect there to be either. id DD one.. if i didnt have a BMW
  11. ^^ if your going to use this idea, get another center console and heat it up using the girlfriends hair dryer and the stuff peels off. in fact you could even just use that one.
  12. 2 things: 1 pity it was an Audi, if only it was his mates Cef on cutties it would have imploded around him at that speed and killed him. there goes my tax. Thanks Audi haha 2 how the hell do you get a car to 250kmh while THAT drunk anyway??
  13. yeah. the sender for the gauges is right on the top of the engine so coz the water was below the right level it might have been regestering air/steam rather than water. dont take that as true but thats my guess what happened and why the guage read at half. E30 t/stats havent been known to be overly reliable at the best of times anyway mind.
  14. seeing as this has already been dug up, out of interest did tourings ever come out with tech 2? or is it all sedan stuff that fits?
  15. i doubt it would have blown a hole/melted the seal etc on this occassion. likely there was already a leak that was exagerated by this. that said depending on where your temp sender for your gauges is, it wouldnt register hotter temperatures than normal hence the half way when it might be more than that
  16. yeah mate was from my ex-UK '89 316i but has the same radiator as 318i coz i checked on realOEM.com (here)to confirm. I checked for those plastic parts for you as per email but i dont have any good ones, only cracked stuff now in the skip lol.
  17. ill go in for one too if theres an order going on depends on $$though.. naturally

  20. update here nothing overly amazing but i got my wiring harness done
  21. Id steer away from the Mitsi.. mitsi diesels are mega fail. might be a little different these days but that stigma is always going to be there when it comes to getting one serviced at a non mistsubishi place. Edit: id go Navara. from what ive heard they are the 'new hilux' and the best offroader while being pretty good on road as well. read your old Autocar issues
  22. it said lets be honest, so i clicked no. do it
