  1. So your saying something is ment to be under that round panel under the seat? ive wrecked a couple E30s and have had that cover go to nothing so didnt even bother to check it on the 320i. so there is a sender there i should replace? ill have a look if i have a sender there or not
  2. I know what you mean.. my 90' 320i doesnt have that but my '89 316i does. Never noticed that difference before. Would you mind finding me the link to this person if possible? im going away on a road trip next week and would rather like it fixed. its never bothered me before but handy to know now
  3. sorry should have proof read. Edited
  4. The gauge drops smoothly from Full to 0 in the time it takes the fuel tank to fall to about half way. ie half full tank indicates empty on the gauge, full tank = full on gauge. I have replaced the Sender twice, and the gauge cluster was rebuilt and then replaced and none of these fixed it. im out of ideas.. they are the only two possible issues i can think of. The Sender is VDO and my gauge cluster is MotoMeter (though i have tried a VDO cluster) does that cause any compatibility issues? I went to the yard and all three E30s with Motometer clusters had VDO senders. Any Ideas?
  5. Ive used the high heat stuff you use on the engine and that works quite well. done it 6 months ago and still looking sweet on a DD
  6. i have changed a water pump and all the belts before, didnt know the crank came apart though!

  8. wondered why he just stopped talking to me on MSN just now!
  9. Ollie, do you think it would be okay to put with the window wiper going over it like where i said before? would look a million times better?
  10. ^^ This. i installed mine and then found out the insurance company wouldnt recognise that so i pulled it all out and took it to get "professionally" installed, read: put back together the way i did it haha
  11. My UK import was the same. good on the outside but rusted out in all the same places as yours, plus the drivers and passengers footwells. i took the carpet out and stood on the floor well and fell through it. i have no idea how it managed to get the warrent it did 2 months before i got it
  12. *laughs and feels the need to tell you*

  14. This is the Off Topic Forum what do you expect?? your pretty lucky here that all the OT stuff is in one place though. most forums have OT stuff in every Topic.
  15. ive taken my car there without the sticker and they have done it. they are pretty good to owners of modified cars as they are mostly young people running the place anyways
  16. yeah i leave to go on a road trip on the 12th, but have taken leave from the 8th so ill do all this then. will probably just change the starter to be sure. my friends are convinced the old girl is going to break down on us. I hope to prove them wrong
  17. for 6"x9"s or 5.25" or 6.5"?
  18. as you know, this does apply to me. you mean the wires you need to connect make the car think its in Park yes? mine are twisted and crimped as i didnt have a soldering iron where i did the conversion and haven't touched it since. will look into that. come to think of it it never did this before i converted to manual...
  19. I saw a car the same at Pac'N'Save in Petone on the 24th pulling into the entrance. must be a clone unless theres been some serious driving action.
  20. That must be the car that i got all my motorsport stuff off then. thanks for clearing that up, i did wonder!
  21. was just about to say i have the cable/battery box/tray etc here, just dont have the engine bay termial.. left it in the car when it was crushed thought id throw it up here anyways incase someone else want it.
