Thanks Brent - what are you running on the front? 7.5 et13? You wouldn't have one or two spare front rims?

Radio draining battery when car parked
C-130 Hercules replied to C-130 Hercules's topic in Audio & In Car Entertainment
Thanks all for your comments - I have monitored draw over longer period and it comes down to between 60-90 mA which is still a bit much but whole lot less than 400mA. Will now go through all the fuses and see where it drains and that should fix the issue. And no, no band expander or other fancy gadgets in the car. -
Radio draining battery when car parked
C-130 Hercules posted a topic in Audio & In Car Entertainment
Hi all Trust someone out there can help. My aftermarket Sony radio is draining the car battery when the car is parked and all power switched off (key in 0 position). It draws about 0.4 A. When disconnecting I get the more agreeable 200 mA. What can I do to solve the problem (besides the obvious - ditching the radio)? Will a deep cycle battery with higher Amp rating help? Should I get the radio serviced? Let me know if you got any suggestions. Cheers Julian -
Nice to see that Alpina is still around. Haven't seen it for ages.

Sounds to the calipers need replacing. Try to get hold of Graeme Clyde (formerly German Auto Components). Although he has retired now he should be able to point you into the right direction to get good service and have problem identified before spending your buckaroos. (03) 377 9619

Looking for a copy of 'Burning Rubber'. Anyone out there know this and got a copy for sale?

I recommend Swann Insurance. Your 87 e30 will qualify as classic car. You will save heaps compared to a 'normal' insurer. Also Swann have a good reputation in the repair industry I believe. http://www.swanninsurance.co.nz/ They also advertise in NZ Classic Car. Regards
