What would you recommend, is it a cheaper option to import a new set from overseas? Duty charges etc? I have a done a little math, and seems a few hundred $$ cheaper then what NZ Trademe stores are offering, i understand they're worth the extra cash haha, looking for the best deal as anyone would. What is the mileage on the set you have? Thanks

Hi there Just wondering, where is the best place to purchase Bilstein Shocks in NZ? For an E36 6cyl that is. Is it cheaper to purchase from over seas or any outfits in NZ? I have looked on TM and Ebay/ Turners msport, any help would be much appreciated, only after sports/ standard setup for a daily driver, possibly open to any members that may have a set available and price. Thanks Arthur

Personally i believe they should retain the same value as an RHD, wouldn't understand why not? But i guess it's a limited market for specific buyers that are interested in driving LHD vehicles in a RHD country, it would be unique though, say for example the few on trademe, even that 3.0 Ltr E36 M3.

Sure is a nice example, doesn't seem too expensive either, i've seen a lot of Evo M3 's with this steering wheel option. Hope a member gets it!

Oh i'm a victim of that strange E36 Sqeak! P'eeeed off half the time driving the damn thing yet the car handles well, wof standard, and looks the part....except the sqeak haha. I believe it's my ball joint, left side front, installed 30k ago....???? Hmm.

Wowwww bro that is some nice work! Damn this car is going to be a beast for sure ! -
Time to build another manifold, wasn't to happy with the last, takes a long time for me to make this shyt but I put alot of effort into these things so it should come out nice check out my flange haha 12mm thick mild steel

Hardcore bro I went up in size for my good motor but for this one I ended up staying with stock size studs, they cost alot bloody hell haha
-
Haha im dropping the compression a little with this hg, I dont have to worry about blowing it with my numbers thats for sure haha
-
For my stock motor im using a cut-ring head gasket, the rings have groves in them which cut into the cylinder head allowing it to seal like a gangster bitch. MLS are good but dont want any issues so this is the way to go. On the good motor im running pyramid rings which are similar but hold alot more boost.
-
Thanks bro hard I have thought about doing that too, its a mission building the manifold but also a good challenge
-
It makes it hard when you dont have all the right tools and shyt, went and got some thick ass steam pipe to build the turbo manifold, all I had was a grinder and hammer. Took me ages to grind and cut but came out alright
-
Haha well that is very understandable, I should have just brought a m3 instead haha
-
Damn this thing will be a beast for sure!

Hey brother sorry about the late reply have been abit slack on the updates, I will get something up during the week. Do it bro! You going to post your build up?
-
Use the motor from a 325i m50b25tu or m50b25 non vanos as they are cast iron blocks perfect for boost, as for the aluminum blocks from the 328i dont bother with them. What is your power goal and what will the car be used for? Street? That will determine alot like Injector size etc. What is your budget?

What is so amazing about AC kitted bmw's? Personally, appearance wise...Motorsport kitted bmw's loom so much better, but that is just my preference, aside from Any mechanical upgrades.
-
Nice colour on a standard model, are those facelift panels on a 1995 rego'd Bmw...hmm, but a nice looking car.
-
Hey bro how is the car? Any other updates? My e36 is taking a while, was aiming to turn the key around May but I ran out of money so here I am saving once again lol

I feel the frustration my friend. Just last month, had someone rub the opposite side front guard of my bmw, i didn't even see it until i began washing the car, funny thing is that i do exactly the same thing you do, park far away from lazy people and plenty of space where possible...but even that ain't good enough....is it that hard to apologise for damaging another persons property? It's an attitude problem more then anything else. All the best mate.
