as strong as you want, anything is possible.I like to stick with the basic beers as they are harder to f**k up. If you don't get it right and you end up with 23 litres (+10 man hours and $20 - $60 ingredients) of rancid tasting cat piss to throw away, it's enough to make you think twice about doing it again.

  14. All is says to me is that your decision making process is flawed ... why spend time or money on something so pointless & nonsensical whilst reducing the value of the vehicle? each to their own so long as you reppin and rollin ... it's all good, right?

    Home Brew Thread

Digging this up again .... I got back into brewing about 3 months ago. I decided to go nice and simple aiming to output a large quantity of beer for summer. 1st we decided to brew a coopers draught - off the shelf at foodtown. I'd been told that it's a nice easy drinking beer and hard to f**k up. We drank a few draughts in Vietnam and they were pretty good, if they can do it then so can I. Cleaning and Sterilising all the equipment thoroughly was my main focus this time, also keeping the fermenter below 20 degrees and leaving it fermenting for a longer period. This time I'm taking proper hydrometer readings also to make sure we don't bottle it too young. Anyway long story short, tried a bottle of it last week and it put a huge smile on my face, tastes better than export, macs, db or any of those off the supermarket shelf. It was easy and i'll definitely do it again. As soon as we'd bottle the coopers we put down a muntons lager to ferment, once again straight from the kit, no mucking around. We bottled it 4 weeks later using plastic bottles. It's still carbonating but i tried one on sunday and it was great, a bit cloudy still so will let them sit for a few more weeks before chilling and drinking. Next is a mexican Cerveza which we'll be putting down this week sometime, should be ready to drink just in time for christmas. After that is a medium ale something like a monteiths original or a speights distinction.
  16. people are going to text anyway, except now they'll be glancing down at their phone between their legs instead of holding it up by the steering wheel so they don't have to take their eyes off the road as much.
  17. the government should be subsidising GPS and productivity centred iPhone apps. safer than a map book better than a map book increased productivity... Good for our economy ... this is the kind of technology we need to embrace, what retarded backward minded idiot on earth would shun it by making it illegal?!! Same with the speed limit, increase it. Increase productivity, improve economy. Cars are built to cope with the increased speed now and have a myriad of safety features. people will adapt over time ...
  18. original article at stuff.co.nz A Response from iphonewzealand.co.nz sign the petition here Personally my thoughts are ... This is a very shortsighted law change and has clearly not had any thought behind it whatsoever. Technology is here to improve our lives, we need to embrace it, we also need to realise that the technology is not the problem, the people using it are. Whilst I agree with the banning of cellphone use while driving I think this new law is ridiculous. What difference is a dash mounted iPhone running the tom tom GPS app to a dash mounted tom tom GPS unit. I challenge anyone to find a difference that makes one more distracting than the other.
  19. Thanks to those who have emailed photos already, some of them are really great! BUT we need more! Get snapping people!

  22. smacking children is good i got smacked when i was a little sh*t, sure was effective in teaching me a lesson, and i love my parents and respect that they disciplined me, i'm a better person for it now. pick any little d*ck head teenager with no respect, no manners, no discipline and i bet you their parents are nancy f**king retards who worship sue bradford and her moronic legislation. Smacking isn't the only way to teach a child discipline of course and it all depends on the child, BUT in some circumstances it is good. the bit that really gets me is that as tax payers we paid for this bill to be implemented and then paid for a referendum which proved that 90% of us disagreed with it. How the hell that can happen boggles my mind. The whole thing should never have happened. Now even after the referendum the law is not going to be changed, at least not for a long time. WTF? why has the government not been under fire for passing a bill that 90% of a supposedly democratic nation disagrees with. all this I blame on underachieving life politicians like bradford who just want to make change, feel powerful and not really think it through. The only positive thing we can take from it is that the public now realises that our government needs a kick up the arse. rant rant ...
